First night, great choice, good choice of real ales and great food, friendly bar staff to boot. Game Pie to die for and central heating backed up with an open fire. Snug and cosy, so a need to book, very popular.

2nd Tuesday we have been to the Pie &Pint night. Cost is £8.50. For that you get a good choice of beers (but not the most expensive) and a choice of home made pies, home made chips, peas (garden or mushy) and gravy. Portions are very good and filling. There are usually 3 or 4 pies to choose from including... More

Where better than the Woolpack in Westwood Road Beverley to have Sunday lunch...but make sure you book a table! Its a tiny typical old pub with a tiny bar and a couple of small rooms...but the hospitality and food is excellent, home made and highly recommended - especially in front of an open fire. Keep up the good work Woolpack... More

Great location, just down the road from the Westwood. Can have a nice tasty pint after a good stroll. Also has a nice little Biergarten for the warm summer evenings.

Having driven past a few times over the last couple of years and thought how delightful this pub looks, we had the opportunity to go in for lunch last week-end. The charming exterior was equally matched by the atmospheric and characterful interior. My wife and I both had excellent meals and I had a beer. One of the best pints... More

Wanted a meal on the way home from London and it was quiz night with every table booked. They took pity on us when all we wanted was to eat and get home. We promised to leave by 19:30 and had a perfectly satisfactory meal

We have visited this restaurant before, but never for Sunday lunch, what a treat !The menu choice is varied, but it was Beef, Turkey and steak pie for the three of us. What a plate full and all home cooked and well presented for under £1o each. Do try the Woolpack at Beverley, you won't be disappointed.

That's how they advertise it on the board outside - "why not leave him here while you shop in town?" Open fire? Tick. Cheerful service? Tick. Solid menu? Tick. Well-kept ale? Tick. That's it, in a nutshell. Cheers!

We only go here for special occasions but it is always our first choice (be aware: you need to book, seats fill up fast here!) The food is fantastic every time we visit and they do a great selection of real ales. The tables are very close together so it is not ideal for people with children in buggies, but... More

I have been here many times but re-visited lately for a meal with friends. The pub is small but has character. Decent beers at reasonable prices (neither the best nor the cheapest in Beverley but above average) and a reasonable though limited wine list. The food is great. It is often full when serving food and was when I visited.... More
