A great find....

We visited this pub on a Sunday after reading the comments on trip advisor and looking forward to a good sunday roast. We turned up around 2pm and were pleased to be offered a table in the snug on arrival. We had only just sat down when a member of staff offered us a table in the main part of... read more

We visited the Woolpack on saturday evening on the strength of the reviews on trip advisor, and we were not disappointed. The pub was busy but had a nice friendly atmosphere, they had a good selection of beers and the food was well presented, tasty and no skimping on the portions. We were impressed with our dining experience and the... More

We came for dinner over the Easter weekend, and are glad we booked a table as it was busy but felt very comfortable. The food was great - we both had the steak & red wine pie and the meat was fab - really tasty chunks of steak. Plentiful portions.

We have been a few times to this pub and always enjoyed great food which is all home cooked, but presented restaurant style. Prices very reasonable and have never been disappointed.

Have been to this pub twice so far this month and what a find, think it is now one of our favourite eating places. Staff are very friendly and food is amazing. All home cooked and generous portions too. Wide selection on the menu and always at least 3 specials to choose from.

After a good walk over the westwoods we dropped into the Woolpack for a drink and Sunday lunch. Friendly cosy pub with good selection of beers and nice menu. We had the Sunday roast which was good value. Very busy so book . All staff friendly and efficient service all round. Recommend a visit

We went for a Sunday roast and found it to be lacking, the lamb was mainly globs of fat,the roast potatoes burnt, what made it worse you had to pay more for lamb,I do not think I will be rushing back to eat here again. On the plus side it has some nice real ales and would recommend it for... More

First night, great choice, good choice of real ales and great food, friendly bar staff to boot. Game Pie to die for and central heating backed up with an open fire. Snug and cosy, so a need to book, very popular.

2nd Tuesday we have been to the Pie &Pint night. Cost is £8.50. For that you get a good choice of beers (but not the most expensive) and a choice of home made pies, home made chips, peas (garden or mushy) and gravy. Portions are very good and filling. There are usually 3 or 4 pies to choose from including... More
