Glorified fast food pub

This is one of these themed pubs. Nice atmosphere, small selection of beers, small play area outside. However the typical food is not of the home cooked variety but reminds me of fast food. Chef can't probably "Cook" much more than simple things and this includes the use of deep fat fryers and... read more

Myself and my husband went on an evening and ordered 2 different chicken dishes off the menu. The food was served in good time but when it arrived the food looked nothing like the pictures shown in the menu. My chicken in breadcrumb coating looked very greasy and both our meals were lukewarm and my very small portion of peas were... More

Easter Monday and they only had three staff on... Was ticking over but not hugely busy... First we had to go to the bar to be seated as noone came to meet us at the sign saying "please wait here to be seated" after quite a few minutes, secondly they neglected to tell us things missing from the menu so... We have found the food at this pub chain getting less and less enticing. The menu is now full of burgers, chips and other typical pub grub fare and it is very difficult to avoid anything containing wheat or fries. Vegetables other than peas are a rarity. Portions are becoming smaller and the number of items on the 2-4-a-tenner is... More

We have been to the hayride three times now and only had one good meal.We went today for aSunday roast, the beef was totally disgusting it was more like corned beef with a line of fat down the middle. You could taste the powder in the mashed potatoes and the vegetables had no taste at all I would have enjoyed... More

The venue itself is a typical suburban chain family pub. Slot machine, TV, music playing in the background. The food is I think cook chill but despite that the quality is uneven. I generally order a steak but I never know if it will be good or poor.

Just had a lunch here and was very tasty. Nice and busy and popular on a Saturday. Service was quick and prompt. No problems at all. A popular pub/restaurant in beverley! Will return again :)

Food lacks any quality with most microwaved or deep fried, portion size is very poor and not usually hot from previous experience. Real ale choice is poor and over priced. The interior of the place has an off putting smell. staff generally pleasant and helpful. I have been a local resident who has used the pub for well over a... More

Attended for lunch today. Four of us, all elderly. The place was clean and well patronised for a Wednesday lunchtime. Three of us had the rump steak with mushrooms. Two of us gave up the chips in exchange for a very nice salad which we asked to be served without dressing (diets!) which was done. I asked for bleu which... More
