My husband and I decided to go for lunch at our local Weatherspoons on our day off. We chose the chicken special which came with a free drink. The food was great, it arrived quickly and was piping hot. I also liked the fact that the sauce (piri piri) and coleslaw were seperate so you could add what you wanted.... More

We popped in here for a drink and chat after a busy day touring the area. The place was quiet so we were able to sit, in some comfy arm chairs, have a drink and chat about the places we'd visited that day.

Very slow service and poor quality, tasteless food. The fish and chips were dreadful! The interior I found depressing as it is far too dark. Very disappointing and I will not be returning.

Popped in for a mid week treat. Curry night is always popular and now that you can reserve a table....less stressful on arrival as our table was ready and waiting. Everyone opted for curry except myself....love the chicken burgers....30 min wait but food always good...a cheap mid week treat!

Sorry, but our experience last Sunday was rather average. Child's spaghetti bolognese had obviously been prepared long prior to service, then warmed up. Looked dry and sad, not very appetising, good job our seven year old was hungry. Service was slow, the manager for the evening "Alan" needs the course on customer relations. A positive response to customers would ensure... More

We eat here frequently as it's not bad value and it's easy to get a table. The food can be hit an miss as to the temperature, the service consistently slow in terms of not enough staff, no speed amongst the staff except the mature lady waiting tables who has blonde hair , and the tables not always as clean... We decided to have a meal out as we did not want to cook,oh how I wished we had not.The chicken was dry bacon overcooked and everything was swimming in B.Q.sauce not a pleasant experience. The pub itself is dark and depressing well another place of our list to have a meal. The only thing going for this place is the choice... Delicious well-cooked breakfast. Everything was tasty and piping hot. As always in Wetherspoons it was brilliant value for money ( less than £10 for 2 breakfasts, 2 drinks and a portion of toast). Excellent waitress - Rach..... good friendly Yorkshire hospitality (that's praise indeed from a Lancastrian). Thank you.

We took the Grandchildren for an early evening meal, it was pretty busy and therefore had a very good buzz, really nice atmosphere. The food was such great value for money and tasty. We had an excellent bottle of wine at a reasonable price. The kids meals included a drink and a packet of fresh fruit. The decoration and ambiance... More

We visited Wetherspoons for Sunday breakfast following an previous good breakfast experience for the money. To find a completely different experience it was terrible...cold plates, cold food, poor service despite them been quiet. We didn't plan to visit again, however found ourselves meeting family there one tea time, I had warned them but it was the only place to meet... More
