OK for a cheap and cheerful Lunch

Called on a very busy Saturday, we were told meals would be 1/2 hr and they were nearly to the minute, can't fault that. We ordered the chicken breast with bacon, and bbq sauce, this dish is normally topped with grated melted cheese but here it had an unmelted cheese slice slapped on top. oh... read more

Always seems like a nice place to go with the family.. I've never been in the evening but after school it's always ok.. Some times you hear the staff moan about how over worked they are but I guess that's everywhere.. My nephew loves it here.. The foods always good too... Love the booth seats they could do with more!... More

Well I normally enjoy a visit.. But today on my birthday to say I was disgusted is and under statement.. Order a Philly cheese steak sandwich which came with no cheese.. Thought it was an error so made them aware then was told it does not come with cheese!!! at this point was a little shocked having eaten a few... More

Thank you for your review, I am sorry to hear that on this occasion you thought our staff were being rude, this is very unheard of as most of our reviews say how kind and helpful our staff are. With regards to the cheese on the philly cheesesteak sandwich the menu does state that it is a 'Monterey Jack cheese... More

This pub like all other wetherspoons gets it just right. Comfortable nooks and crannies with various seating styles, decor reflecting the airforce history of the area with photos, very reasonable priced drinks and food and best of all no tv blaring in the background or music that's not to a persons taste. I was there with some girlfriends, we had... More

The decor is good, the prices are reasonable and some of the staff are friendly, however, others are quite rude and unhelpful and the food can be a bit hit and miss - sometimes good, sometimes not so good.

We've been here lots of times, usually breakfast, and it's always always busy. Not so busy that you have to wait long, though, but you might have to clear the previous persons dishes away as there are rarely enough staff to clear tables as well as serve. The staff that ARE there are friendly and helpful. I don't disagree that... More

Called in here for lunch on a recent trip to Driffield. The food was as expected - quite tasty value meals. The place was very messy and untidy on our visit, with used crockery and cutlery on unattended tables. When our food arrived, I was handed my cutlery, as is usual with Wetherspoons, but on unwrapping my knife & fork,... More

A good sized busy pub. Ordered breakfast. Bit of a wait to order but was nice to see people pointing out who was before them not just shoving their way in. A bit dark inside so sat by window. Table hadnt been cleaned but was very busy and there were plenty of clean tables we could have chosen. Breakfast took... More

As a family group we just called in for a snack and a drink and were not disappointed. The Southern Fried Chicken strips are good and they made a suitable snackette. The drinks were reasonably priced (unlike the Crown and Anchor at nearby Tickton) and overall we had a very pleasant experience. The place has wi-fi too so we were... More

Wetherspoons are first rate for food and this pub is no exception ,we had the traditional breakfasts which you can have any time before 12 noon, the pub was a bit busy even at 10am so there was a little wait for the food, there seemed to be only 3 staff on so our table still had crockery from previous...
