Service could be better

Three of us visited at around midday for a couple of pints. Ordering pints of Ruddles we were told that it was off and the barrel would be changed. We paid and waited 10 minutes or so before reminding the Shift Manager. He said he was too busy to change the barrel (he had been delivering food to... read more

Wetherspoons used to be one of my favourite meeting places in Driffield be it for breakfast, a drink or an evening meal. Prices are cheap and previously service was great too and the food was reasonable. Unfortunately it's going downhill fast, new staff are shockingly bad and most seem untrained in any form of customer service, communication or even how... More

Liked the variety of food and drink on offer and the atmosphere, dislike the toilets being situated up two flights of stairs.

We live in Bridlington, near to Driffield but always prefer to visit the Benjamin Fawcett rather than the awful Wetherspoons in Bridlington. Good quality and selection of beers etc, good cheerful service, good quality furnishings and usually very good food which is good value. Would highly recommend!

Visited one evening with my partner. We both went for the Lamb Rogan Josh. Very nice! Piping hot food and very tasty, not too long a wait either. At the price it's brilliant and includes a drink too. Will be back again in the future.

We love wetherspoons and this one in particular. Always a great atmosphere. We meet up with friends and eat here most weeks. It is not pretentious, just cheap and cheerful. Hubby likes curry night. Friday is fish and chips although there is also a full menu and the fish and chips are lovely. It does get busy but we sit... More

My friends and I decided to come here for a cheap tea out. I had rung to book a table the day before but was surprised that I had to go in to pay a deposit. I understand the reasonings the amount on no shows when tables had been booked, but was disappointed that payment could not be taken over... More

Overall it's a good wetherspoon, but can be a bit hit and miss. In with family last week. My sirloin steak was fantastic, but dad's mixed grill was barely edible. Just a but frustrating really. Beer selection great and always found staff very pleasant.

We are very glad that you find the beer selection great and the staff always pleasant and would like to apologise that your dad's mixed grill was not up to expected standards. We work very hard with the aim that all of our products are as fantastic as your sirloin steak was and hope to deliver excellence in future visits. More

Wetherspoons for Brunch - great food and quality coffee served, Served promptly and with a smile - just a tad annoyed when was told that needed to get our own sauces... would have been good had we been told that at the bar when we ordered... used to staff bringing sauce with the knives and forks ... must just be... With my husband and eldest son otherwise engaged, I took my youngest son for tea on Friday. There was only o couple of spare tables so we quickly grabbed one and set about deciding what to have. I chose the fish as it was the special and my son the burger meal. We only had to wait 20 minutes for... More
