This was our first holiday in East Yorkshire and this little pub provided a good Yorkshire welcome and home made tasty food and nice drinks to accompany. Not a large menu but big enough and would certainly call again.

Went to the falling stone, on recommendation of this site, however it was a Tuesday night, and according to the landlord they'd had a busy night Monday? So the limited menu which only had seven mains, was reduced to four, no steak pie, no cottage pie, and no fish and chips??? ( they'd had all day Tuesday to stock up!,!!... More

I looked at the reviews on Trip Advisor before I booked a table and decided to believe the recent favourable comments rather than some of the others. I booked a table and the three of us went over on a Friday night. The menu was not extensive, but we were assured that the pate and the two soups were homemade.... More

Whilst staying in Wold Newton over the weekend we came across this lovely little pub. There were 6 adults and a baby all starving and in search of some pub grub. Unfortunately we got there at 4pm and were told the restaurant didn't open until 6pm. We decided to have a drink anyway and while we were waiting the bar... More

After about 20 mins they were seated in the restaurant. Another 20 mins and we were asked to go to a table. eventually we... More

We have just had our wedding at The Falling Stone. Everything was perfect the four course meal was amazing both for meat eaters and vegetarians. The setting was beautiful and the staff couldn't have done anymore for us, really went out of there way to make it perfect. Thank you x
