We ate inside and had bass and chips. The meal was fantastic and we were able to bring in drinks from the pub across the road. It is definitely worth a visit!

Used this takeaway on a number of occasions during a two week stay in Appledore. Very good quality. Sometimes a bit of a wait upon ordering but able to sit in pub opposite and hear a shout when my order was ready. Goodly portions. Local fish used too, More traditional frying used that other outlets in the village. Never used... More

This was our first take away from here and it was delicious, great fish, superb batter, tasty chips and wonderful scampi. The curry sauce was divine...we will be back,

We enjoyed our cod and chips at the Royal Plaice. Generous servings and freshly cooked. The restaurant is clean and bright, and service was pleasant. They don't serve alcohol, but you can buy a drink at the pub across the street and bring it in to enjoy with your meal.

This is my local chip shop so therefore you could say I'm being biased. It's always consistent and I love the fact that you can get a beer from the pub opposite and drink it while eating in.

First of all the fish was fresh and well cooked. The batter was light and tasty and not thick. The service was friendly and the whole meal was great. It was probably the best fish and chips I have had. An added bonus is that you can also walk from the pub opposite with a great pint to drink with... More

A café/restaurant with a fish and chip range inside, great location, lovely décor and really good fish and chips at a reasonable price. Great choice, with some steak options available (which we didn't try), only negative was they didn't have the sea bass in light batter which 2 of us fancied, maybe next time...

Beautifully cooked Haddock and Chips served with tea and bread and butter, very traditional fish supper. Friendly staff, fast service, reasonable prices. Will definitely be back.

My husband had fish and chips while I opted for a pie, chips and gravy. The portions were generous and the food was excellent value for money. The restaurant was light and airy and not at all like a takeaway cafe. It felt a bit more upmarket and I was generally impressed. If you're after a fish and chip supper,... More
