Went for afternoon tea August 2014. The afternoon tea was very disapointing the cakes did not taste of much and not nicely presented. A bit of puff pastry with only a strawberry on top. For £19.95 per person you expect better. The service was good but food lets them down.

I've booked lunch here before, but wanted to treat my wife to afternoon tea in the lounge bar. There was just the four of us (including my teenaged children) and we could choose where we wanted to sit. We felt totally relaxed in the wonderful surroundings. Staff were extremely polite and the tea, sandwiches and cakes were amazing. We couldn't... More

My partner & I dined in the Grill Room @ Rhinefield a couple of weeks ago and the server was very attentive and couldn't do enough to make our meal enjoyable. The food took a while to come out, but that's because it was cooked fresh to order and you could really taste it. The food was delicious, the chicken... More

As a surprise by a group of my girlfriends, I was taken to the Rhinefield House Hotel (20 mins away from my home) for a birthday treat of an Afternoon Tea. I'd not been to the hotel for a number of years (an old employer used to use it for meetings on a regular basis) and it's always lovely to... More

I stopped by here recently with a good friend and we had the most delightful afternoon tea by the pond and fountain. The quiet relaxing atmosphere, the sound of water and seeing the dragonflies buzzing around was really refreshing. The tea selection was good and the scones well made too! The staff were flawless, striking the right balance between being... More

I've said in a review of the hotel how much we liked the food here. Beautiful fresh fish and very good service. We probably shouldn't have had the sweets but....oh boy were they good.

The weather was lovely when we arrived. The place looked so beautiful from the outside, the gardens are impressive, but it all started going downfall inside... First of all, they didn't have our booking (we booked over the phone a day before), luckily there were some outside tables left and that's where we wanted to be (well, Chewton Glen was... More

This stunning location , offers you the ability to have a fantastic wedding here, but in reality they are disorganised, mismanaged, past from pillar to post regarding group bookings, diferent prices for guests, rather than the one stated in the contract, lacking diversity as in, GAY COUPLES ALWAYS BEING REFERRED TO AS THE BRIDE, two average meals , and if...
