The restaurant is in a beautiful room with antique wood paneling around and beautiful chandeliers. The food is of poor quality and doesn't taste and feel as if it was made to order. It felt like it was prepared ours before and assembled on request. Not my kind of thing when I pay good money for a meal.

As in the title i really enjoyed the restaurant, the service is bit slow but it makes you slow down and enjoy the lovely setting. The rooms are unique and it is worth going just for the setting let alone the cuisine

The car park is at a distance from the main door, so not good at night or if it's raining. Once inside, there is quite a walk from reception to the bar area, which was cold and not particularly comfortable. Nobody took our coats so we had to carry them to the restaurant. This involved another long walk back to... More

We went for tea and an overnight stay on a Sunday. Afternoon tea was brilliant. Breakfast was great and well served but I would have liked mueseli. Evening meal was less than ordinary (except for the cheese!) The pig cheek ravioli was under-filled, tasted of nothing and was under-cooked. The dried cauliflower was a poorly judged addition to the scallops.... More

We had lunch with 16 friends and family at the Rhinefield for my birthday which was good although finesse of service was lacking. In the evening we went to the restaurant for fine dining as the Grill Room was having problems with its heating. Unfortunately the meal did not come up to our expectations: the leek soup was like dishwater,the... More

After much discussion as a family on where to take our Mother for her 79th birthday on New Years Day. We decided to book The Rhinefield House restaurant so paid in full £35.00 per head for the 7 of us. We arrived 15 minutes before our allocated sitting of 1pm and were shown to the lounge area to have a... More

Had picked the best choice I think I could from a very restricted choice of menu for our firms xmas party but found the quality of the meal somewhat lacking. This is a stunning location but unfortunately the food did not do it justice, the salmon starter was very dry and all the portions were quite small. The "mince pies" were a circular... I'd prefer not to leave a bad review but feel it only fair that future diners are forewarned. This is a plea to management to please do better. The. Christmas turkey lunch we had on Sunday, 7 December was, to me, unacceptable and Inedible and I left hungry. What worries me is that you don't respond to reviews and I... More

My husband and I were visiting family in Lyndhurst and made our anniversary dinner reservations at the Armada Restaurant at Rhinefield House. What wonderful experience - no detail was overlooked! The wait staff was extremely attentive, but didn't hover, and made sure that everything was just as it should be. Our meals were very tasty and upon finding out that... More
