Stopped here for lunch when passing through and received a very warm welcome from the staff and a very well priced and tasty soup and sandwich combo. We like the ambience of the dining room and will consider staying here early next year. Enjoyed a chat with Anja who had some interesting tales.

We visited here for breakfast. I had been wanting to visit the New Forest for a long time, and this was the place we stumbled upon. It's a quaint little spot. Low ceilings, uneven floors, mismatched plates, chairs and tables add to the charm. It's a husband and wife team (I assume) that run the place, and they seem to... More

How often do you get to drink traditional cream tea in a 400 years old cottage? Well, look no further...the Thatched Cottage offers exactly that! The cottage is idyllic both outside and inside and the ambience is traditional and friendly; it feels a bit like having tea in someone else's living room many many years ago. The staff is very... Stopped off for afternoon tea. Lovely setting, relaxed atmosphere. Warm mini-scone selection with cream and jam was delicious!

Quaint setting nice for afternoon tea. Attractive thatched cottage that draws you to look inside and find out more about it.

Great varied menu for all diets, delicious food and beautiful presentation. Came to the Thatched Cottage with a large group of people, and every single dish was perfect. Good value for the quality of food tasted. The waiters were most helpful and attentive. Can't wait to re-visit and taste the autumn menu!

We sat in the garden area to have a homemade pizza from the outdoor oven. I liked the mismatched tables and chairs; some seats were just cushions on walls which was fun. I shared a pizza and a salad with a friend and it was extremely tasty. Staff were friendly and cheerful.

We were a party of 11 family members holidaying together over the bank holiday weekend and visited Brockenhurst at lunchtime to meet my daughter from the train. We were made very welcome by by waitresses, but this was rather spoilt by the less than friendly welcome from the kitchen, which was clearly visible from where we were sitting. We asked... More

I ate here with my three year old on a warm summer evening and had a fine meal in the garden. Service was really friendly and relaxed, and the pizzas were gorgeous, noticeably good quality ingredients and huge. The pizzas were made in the garden in a wood oven and my boy thought it was great watching the chef make... More

We went for dinner here on Saturday night, knowing that they only did pizzas - which seems a strange choice on a Saturday night. We reserved a table in advance - the outside area was full so we were glad we had at the time. Tables and chairs are very unstable - benches falling apart. We waited ages for our... More
