Very good environment in the heart of the village! Nice staff and cold beer. They have a food menu but I haven't tasted.

Went here for lunch. Extensive drinks menu and very reasonably priced. The food is pretty much pub grub but well done. The youngsters serving are very polite and an asset to the place. Well done!

We asked for soft shelled crab as a starter and then sea bass to follow. The sea bass arrived before the starter. The starter, when it did arrive, was a kind of block comprising several crabs fused together by an oily batter you could fire a power station with. The sea bass was devoid of any flavour having probably spent... More

We found this charming pub whilst on holiday in the New Forest. We had two meals here, Sunday roast lunch and a steak evening meal. Very tasty, more than enough to feed a hearty appetite and great value for money. Dog friendly, they even brought our dog a bowl of water to the table. Very pleasant and friendly staff. Good... More

Stepped off the train and dropped bike in across the road for a service. Whilst waiting popped into pub for a pint. Seating outside was relatively full so sat in the bar. Traditional setting, all clean and service was great. Papers were available to read, so sat and read one. Food looked good that people were having but can't comment... More

We came here after walking round the whole village trying to find somewhere to eat. I asked the chef and she was able to do me a special meal (GF and veggie in a small village was impossible). I was so grateful and it was DELICIOUS. The food was fantastic value with great portions and very tasty! Trouble was I... More

The pub seemed busy but focused on their beer festival and forgot about our table reservation. I wish they had told me they had a beer festival on when I phoned to book a table for dinner instead of telling me that we'd be able to eat there. We had to find somewhere else to eat.

Warm and cosy pub to escape a wet night in Brockenhurst. Good beer and large portions of standard pub fare at a reasonable price.
