A cool rainy October afternoon is not the optimum time to visit a tea garden but since we had parked right outside we thought we would give it a try. It felt slightly surreal sitting in wing armchairs in a tent decorated with a faux fireplace and artificial grass on the floor but the wing of the chairs did a... More

Visited late on a Tuesday afternoon. Sadly they had sold out of almost everything bar a few slices of cake. It's a great place - almost tempted not to rave about it, to keep it secret! Nice glass of Pimms in the sunshine....

Rang up and booked a table for August Bank Holiday for High Tea. Special celebration for our elderly mother. When we arrived the table was reserved as agreed, but we were told there was no high tea as they were offering a b-b-q!!! Not quite the delightful afternoon tea we had planned. Dentures and sausages do not mix well!! The... More

What a lovely way to finish our mum and daughter 'girlie' break. I found this unusual little eating venue on the internet and put it on our list of places to visit and I am so pleased we did! What a pretty, relaxing and comfortable setting. Our waitress was cheerful and considerate in serving our lovely lunch as we sat... More

We were in Brockenhurst and in need of refreshment when we stumbled across the Secret Garden. It was like going back in time. A little hideaway with very traditional feel mixed in with a feeling of Great British Bake Off! 2 Marquees set out with tables and chairs with country style tablecloths - in one of the marquees, there are... A great 'Very English' tea garden. An amazingly tranquil spot just off the main village high street. A secret garden with a marquee covering a large collection of old England furniture. A tad pricey but worth every penny just to observe the very busy chef in her garden shed. Superb

Walking around and spotted a chalked sign saying secret garden, walked in to find a lovely garden with white gazebo housing vintage chairs, tables and a fire place all very quaint. A glass of pimms and a cream tea was just perfect in these surroundings. Spot on and well done.

Lovely food and a great place to sit and relax. Food at the upper end of costs for what it is (£12.50 for crab salad - the dressed crab could be bought with 100 metres for £4.50 retail, so the bit of bread and salad needed to be gold plated! The shabby chic seating makes for a relaxed and pleasant... More

Came across this lovely little hide away. Although the food isn't cheap it is filling and delicious a beautiful little oasis of vintage cuteness.

We have been here twice so far and will be returning many times in the future. The setting is a pretty garden with varied chairs and tables, many with parasols or canopies. Food is served on lovely cake stands and pretty crockery and tea comes in vintage tea pots. The menu is varied and caters for both meat eaters and... More
