This is a nice village pub, with good service and friendly staff. The food though I thought was average.. had burger with "garlic mushrooms" but found no hint of garlic and the burger was quite bland.

I've visited the Snake Catcher a couple of times and I must say the food is excellent, in fact one of the best quality pub restaurants I've been to unless you count the high end, celebrity chef owned pubs. My concern was over the service, it's OK but it could be a lot better and it needs to make you... More

reasonable menu although specials were off, more lager beer than draught, staff were ok, but the food was disappointing and overpriced for what it was, chips are an absolute joke - more like warmed up lumps of boiled potato and HUGE! £5 a plate!

We went for an evening meal. Our friends were intrgued by Brusher Mills the snake catcher from the past .. but a pub has to have more than a theme. The food was ok - several of us had the meals cooked on a hot stone (but be warned if you have the lamb, dont wear your most expensive tie... More

We visited the Snakecatcher a couple of times during our family camping holiday to the New Forrest. The first visit was during a cycle day that took us to Brockenhurst. There were a few pubs offering food but this one stood out for it's central location, cycle rack and bear garden at the rear. The food was excellent, served quickly,... More

We ate here twice while staying at Cottage Lodge which is just down the road. I had the ham, egg & chips and while the ham may have been out of a packet it was perfectly acceptable, the local eggs and the chips were very good. My wife had the scampi - not much you can say about that, is... More

The cook yourself stone is awesome cook the steak how you like it the best! Location right near the town ideally suited, we went twice on our break and had a great meal both times.

We went for lunch and they were very quiet. There was a snack menu and some specials but they didn't look that exciting. We had sandwiches and burgers. The sandwiches were on good bread with generous fillings. The beef in the sandwich was well cooked and cut nicely. The burgers came with huge chips that the children enjoyed.

Superb steak, great service, highly recommended. We didn't quite know what to expect and declined the opportunity to 'cook our own steak'. Just seemed like too much hard work. However, the dinner we ordered (steak with Diane), was outstanding and grilled exactly as ordered.
