Love this place. The food, staff and building are just perfect. Been a few times now since moving to the area and always impressed. Nice to find a decent food pub that will allow dogs too!

We stopped here a Saturday evening by chance as it looked nice from the road. It was busy as there had been a wedding reception earlier but we were warmly welcomed and quickly served. The menu had good choice and is reasonably priced. This was the third pub we were visiting during our break and the food was the best... More

17 of us descended on The Filly Inn about 2pm one Sunday. We were given the garden room and treated like royalty. The carvery was excellent. We all enjoyed out food, the atmosphere, the spacious and airy surroundings and the olde English charm of the old building. Fantastic.

Regulars are greeted like old friends and new customers with enthusiasm and politeness Oh that there were more establishments like that who look to the basics of client care! The food is high average pub grub without any of the annoying fripperies that have invaded the land since too many chefs watched foodie programmes on their rare days off and... More

Eaten here many times over the years. The food used to be really good but the past couple of years it's varied between so so and frankly disappointing. I've been served beef that I could barely cut never mind chew, very mediocre fish and chips and dry roast chicken with potatoes that had been reheated from who knows when and... More

I am truly sorry that you are not a fan of our establishment but it is understandable that if you liked what was served up and called food previous to our taking over the business then it is hardly surprising that you do not enjoy our offering. If you have had a disappointing meal then can I ask why you... More

First visited the Filly over thirty years ago, what a surprise when we visited last week. The Pub has had a complete transformation. It always had an olde world Pub appearance ,which is how it should be for such an old building, it has kept that appeal, whilst at the same time being renovated throughout.. We received a warm welcome when we... More

The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. The food was excellent. And the staff were very friendly, especially Lewis. The welcomed both dogs and children which was a bonus for those with either dogs or children and they had facilities for the disabled.

Went here midweek for lunch with my wife. Staff were extremely attentive and helpful (they were pretty quiet, so I suppose this should be expected). The pub has been refurbished since our last visit, and now seems to have more room. Our meals were very nice, and I wouldn't hesitate to return.
