This restaurant is attached to Careys Hotel. We had a table for 4 and really enjoyed the experience. The service was attentive, though our Northern accents meant that sometimes we had to repeat ourselves. There was a wide choice of food at reasonable prices for a good hotel. Interestingly, they only seem to have one sitting and the restaurant seems... More

Very good French cuisine, with friendly and helpful staff. Setting is quirky but very French. Glad we tried this place as it really topped off our stay in the New Forest.

It was all about the malfatti for those of who had them as a starter or main course. Spinach and ricotta malfatti in a basil butter source with incredible green and red tonatoes. The noisettes of Lamb were exquisite as were the incredible desserts and sorbets. Sophisticated yet very family friendly.

Good food, great atmosphere, good service. An interesting menu that caters for most and reasonably priced. "Off menu" items weren't a problem, sea bass cooked and presented superbly, all three courses delicious. A lovely relaxed atmosphere with attentive service. Recommended.

Le Blaireau never fails to delight. The French themed decor puts a smile on my face every time. The food is consistently delicious but unfussy. They have a great selection of half bottles of wine so you can pair really well. Favourites dishes include the salmon and homemade blinis and lamb main. Waiter Phil (great as usual) and a lovely... French cuisine sometimes struggles to deal with vegetarians, but I was able to put together a good meal that was well-prepared and attractively presented. Charges seemed pretty reasonable. Service was extremely good.

Loved the chicken and cheeseboard. Lots of choice and nothing is too much trouble for the great staff.

Went there to meet family and it was great. Really enjoyed the decoration and the back outdoor area. The meal was excellent, quick and definitely recommend it. Huge parking space.

We ran into this restaurant while riding in new forest. We decided to take a break for a quick lunch. Well, that wasn't easy. The food here was so tasty we took our time savoring and talking about the chicken and the fish. I am rating this restaurant one star less than maximum because the Gazpacho needs improvement (it was... More
