We tried to revisit this wonderful place in late October 2013 ....... and it is closed! Hope it reopens before we visit Bude this year.
We had our wedding reception here end of september. Absolutly fantastic! Ended up choosing the BBQ meal and it was lovely, all our guests were very happy! The owners and staff were fantastic to deal with, helping with setup and takedown of all decorations. Absolutly fantastic evening!
Four of us had mains, desserts and a bottle of wine for under £100. The food was very good. Civilised environment and pleasant staff

Excellent food and excellent value - belly pork with perfect crackling. Great setting, small but overlooking the beach and friendly and helpful staff. Looking forward to trying it in the evening.
Booked Sunday lunch for my family & was not disappointed! Excellent value for money at £12.50 for 2 courses. My beef was to die for, my daughter had the belly of pork which again was lovely. The staff were very helpful and interested. The selection of 3 deserts was really lovely. Followed by a walk on the beach, it was... More
outstanding cooking in a small but intimate setting with amazing views over the habour. Have been here on a number of occasions and it never fails to impress. The mushrooms on toast with the deep fried egg was sublime as was the mussels.
I love the castle, really nice atmosphere and friendly staff. However we were not thrilled with our food. Leek and potatoe soup which was just ok, mussels nice but oily, rump steak with chips, no veg just butter and a jus and the brownie was just hard and nougat like. We didn't say anything as we had friends with us... More
