Nicely decorated pub and restaurant. Pleasant staff, nice to sit in for a drink which is all we did. Food that we saw being served looked good too

Can't comment on the hotel, as we only had dinner here, but that's enough to cross this hotel of the list. We walked around Callender and, not wanting to spend a fortune for dinner, decided that this nicely split the difference between pub food/fast food and more fancy dining. Boy, we were wrong. With fresh-fish supply close, how come my... More

While the host and young wait staff were friendly the food we ordered for dinner was appalling. We only stayed 3 nights in Callander and it was a shame that our first night was started with this terrible dinner. I ordered the Game Pie, so I shouldn't have expected much, but it was tough and tasteless. My wife ordered a... More

We had a much long awaited sunday lunch, living in Spain it is to hot to make and eat a sunday lunch during August so we were really looking forward to it, after finding a table we were told it was beef so no choice of meats, what arrived resembled a school dinner including a frozen not homemade yorkshire pudding,... We booked reservations back in march as we were a large group visiting in August and saw there was a live musician on that night. Gordon got back to us straight away and we got reserved tables at the heart of it all on the night. Service was well organised and friendly. The bar staff were fab too and we... More

Friendly, vibrant, clean, welcoming and great food, highly recommend. No compromise in service even though there were over 20 of us and the rest of the hotel was full.

This is a large pub with a pleasant beer garden out back. They have a good range of real ales, beers and malt whiskies. They serve food which must be good as it was mobbed with diners and what was coming out the kitchen looked very appetising.Family friendly and obviously popular with tourists and locals alike.
