Staggeringly good

Without cussing, it is hard to get across how great this place is. Wonderful service, grand cake and fantastic coffee, and crazy low prices. Anyone passing near should stop in.

We really looked forward to our visit here, based on all the reviews. The place itself is charming and the welcome and service were top notch. The food was good, but not as impressive as we expected, based on other reviews here. We had a scallop starter, which was very tasty, as well as a crepe filled with mince (only... More

Hidden in a very narrow road it was a real discovery! Wonderful atmosphere, very nice waitress, a good choice of food. We tried, led by curiosity, the soup of the day (sweet potatoes, lime, coconut & chili) which was very tasty and then a slice of chocolate cake and rhubarb crumble

Called for a quick drink whilst walking to callander whilst there l met a distant relative of rob roy, her name is rob ya blind. You may ask why £3 for 2 cans of pop I am sure you will agree is excessive but the can was part of a multi pack and should not have been sold as individual... More

Had a spot of coffee and cake today in the brig o turk tearoom en route to driving up into the hills. The tearoom is as previously described as a cross between a schoolroom and village hall. The service was attentive and prompt and the coffee and cake was delicious. Price was reasonable £4 a head. Veronica and csaba provode... More

This is a real pleasant surprise as you drive through the Lochs area. We called in for a late lunch and the place was quite busy, never the less there service was very prompt and helpful and the meal we had was great, recommend. The signs leading up to the turn off and very close to the turn off, so... More

The building looks like a cross between a village hall and a shed. Nice environment inside. Surprise there weren't many cakes left to choose from at 3.30 although the beetroot cake and lemon meringue cake were very good. They also serve dinner up until 9.30 pm.

This is far more than a tearoom. In the evening it serves delicious, contemporary food, sometimes with a "quirky" European twist (the Hungarian goulash in a Scottish village!). The owners and staff took great pride in their food, service and historic building.

During our stay in Aberfoyle, we took a trip over to Brig o' Turk to have a look at the "Bicycle Tree" which is a tree that has "eaten" a bicycle that was propped against it by a soldier who failed to return from the first world war - this is well worth a look, around half a mile up... More
