Having had a second visit to the Crags Hotel tonight to confirm the food, beer and atmosphere really were as good as our first visit; it is pleasurable to say that on a less busy evening in both restaurant and bar they were even better. Both meals (Mutton Curry and Sea Bass) and courses experienced by myself and my wife... More

We really enjoyed an evening meal at Crags in Callander. Delicious food which was presented beautifully, great service without being too over-bearing and not too heavy on the pocket either. The restaurant part is behind the bar area at the front of the pub. We would definitely go back...

We had dinner here the other night it was great. The Chef Alex has a dry wit and is a very good chef. There are some interesting meals on the menu. Almost with a fusion influence. Each of our party really enjoyed ther meals and the deserts were also really good. Definitely recommend this.

We booked the Crags for a Mother's Day meal. Was excellent value and the staff were superb. The menu was amazing and all 10 of us agreed we could have eaten anything on the menu. The choice was as good as I have seen any where else. I would go back just to try the rest of the menu. 5... More

I am a big curry person and the mutton curry was one of the best I have ever had. Also make sure you try the mascapone cheese ice cream!

I have recently been on a girly night out here! We had an excellent night out and the meal was fabulous! We shared a mixture of starters including the homemade scotch egg and chicken terrine which were beautifully presented and devoured quickly!! The main courses were equally as great! The whole menu was very tempting, with good local produce and... More

Lovely wee pub with a good atmosphere, real fire and welcoming staff. I come in for the odd pint every couple of months or so but hadn't eaten in a long while. I'm so glad I did tonight. I often walk past the outside of the pub and check out the menus and it's very obvious that owner Alex is... More

Dirty, tired, breakfast dreadful - dirty cutlery. The manageress was obviously trying her best and was friendly but there was nothing she could do to overcome the shortcomings of the place in which she works. Bring in the Hotel Inspector.

Crags Pub was one of the friendliest pubs we've been in and that's saying something! The atmosphere is a nice traditional one, warm and cozy. The food was an unexpected surprise. There were traditional foods, but with modern additions/changes/twists, and most selections were sourced locally. Try the cheese tray for dessert.
