The fish was far too expensive and far too small. It didn't taste anything special. The batter was OK and the fish was fresh but it wasn't worth the money it all cost. we were so shocked how expensive it was and how plain the food was.

We ate in the cafe on a Sunday night having just arrived in Callander for holiday. My husband had the Cowder & I had the haddock supper. Although yummy it had restaurant prices so only 3/5.

Jut went too the take away window (not the main restaurant) for fake away fish and chips. They were made fresh and the batter was crispy and light. The tarter sauce was good with a citrusy taste. The chips were great and seasoned well. The whole meal cost me about 9 pounds and I split it with my husband as... More

We went in thinking that we would get a great tasting fish and chips! Aside from the fact that it is pricey, it was not the best we've had during our vacation! The service is good, place is small. Maybe, they should rethink their pricing!

Stopped here for some fish and chips and decided to sit in. What a disappointment. The fish was tiny as it had been cut in half and a small amount of chips. Two fish & chips, 1 haggis & chips and 3 cokes and we were just under £35. Not worth it!!

I can't believe how bad this place now is, we've been many times and although overpriced we continued to return...not any-mhor! soggy batter, smoked fish taste from non-smoked haddock, odd almost luminous colour to the grease that dripped from the very greasy fish and the smell of dirty fat/oil in the take-away.

The restaurant was closed so we opted for the chippie. The fish cake was amazing, fresh, juicy and crispy, went perfectly well with the tartare sauce. Coleslaw also delicious and chunky chips tasty and well cooked.

Our hosts at the Straid Guest House recommended this little restaurant in Callander for good seafood. We were not disappointed.

Food was ok and very expensive to takeaway. For fish and chips it's about £8.50 which I feels is way over priced. And when the food is just ok it makes it more of an insult to pay this much. After eating here found out food was cooked in beef dripping and I don't eat meat. Nice!!!! Thanks for telling... More
