Quality Haggis

Visited this wee chippy while on a wee drive through the countryside through Aberfoyle and Callander. Was really impressed with the food, Haggis Supper and single sausage. Chips were tremendous, pity about the weather! Will eat here again next time we go a wee mystery detour through Callander!

I would give this cracking wee restaurant 5 stars if it would return to its roots and the seafood that it did last year. Sadly it has decided to go with the 'everything with chips' route this year so just the 3 stars. A shame as it was the best place on Callander High St by a long stretch.

This really one of the finest "chip" shops anywhere, award winning, and with Chips made with white truffle oil and Parmesan, truly special, whenever we are in Callender we will visit , the cafe and staff are excellent.

This restaurant is a tiny place with a simple modern decor and a friendly service. The fish is excellent and goes beyond just Fish and Chips with dishes like mussels, etc ... Mhor bread just further down the street has the same standards of simple food with high quality standards and is also well worth a visit to stock up... More

Been here three years ago. Staying in callander overnight on Saturday 28th. I was keen to revisit. Not much to look at inside. I remember food being lovely. We both selected fish starters. Very nice. If small portion. I had monkfish as my main. My partner looking forward to hearty steak pie. Expensively priced. With extra potatoes and veg. Charged... More

We had planned to eat at Mhor 84 but bad weather had blocked the road to Balqhuider so the compromise was to eat here. Great decision as the fish suppers we ate were perfect. Accompanied with home made tartare sauce and washed down with Irn Bru. Life doesn't get much better!

Mhor Fish took over a long standing establishment that had been run by an Italian family - we were worried that the standard might slip as it had always been our favourite place to eat in Callander. No problems, still the same excellent fresh fish cooked perfectly.

My wife's fish and chips were over cooked. Well, I ordered sausage and chips. The sausages were raw inside and I had to return them. The chips were bits and pieces, also over cooked. When I was given my recooked sausages back they were over fried the batter dark brown and the sausages were hard inside .Never again will I go into... Great fish and chips. We both had haddock suppers, which were cooked perfectly. The bread and butter pud was particularly good, recommended. The main thing that let things down was the service which was surly and inattentive. I think other comments about the relatively high cost for what are essentially fish suppers are also right, it is a bit overpriced.... More
