The best pizzas and excellent food

Eaten here several times on Monday pizza night, providing some of the best pizza I've tasted. Just make sure to get there before 8pm when they stop serving on a Monday. Also on other occasions and can't fault the food or service. Their menu is constantly changing and have a great range of beers... read more

Had an amazing Sunday lunch here with the family. Brilliant food, good value and staff could not be more helpful. Some of us had roast bee, some pork, some duck and one chicken. All delicious. Lost count of how many vegetables- roasties, cauli cheese, creamed leeks, broccoli, carrots, parsnip, green beans, swede - amazing. The chef should patent the gravy... More

I was lucky enough to have an evening meal here on Wednesday. This place exceeded all my expectations as the quality of the food matches up to some of the best French restaurants I have experienced. Excellent service too :)

Had a pleasant meal. Food was good and tasty but my husband had a bacon sarney when we got home. I'm on a diet anyway so just went to bed still hungry. Got a dessert menu but no one returned to take our order. One good thing, my diet is still well on track.

The first time we have eaten here, and it will not be our last. The service was good and the food delicious. Also dog friendly otherwise we wouldn't of eaten here (our dog comes everywhere with us). A really nice pub with lovely food.

I came here for lunch with my daughter. The food was excellent and very presentable. We came here middle of the week so it was quiet. It's a small cosy place and real hidden gem.

Visited here with my best friend for dinner while we were both on business in the area. We visited based on Tripadvisor reviews, and are both really pleased we made the decision. We were really impressed that the menus are printed daily, and offer just a few, locally sourced, dishes. Both the food and service were excellent, with generous portion... More

Each shoot night the chef at the Rising Sun serves up a feast for us as we return from the local fields & wood. Tonight's dinner was no exception and just to make sure the rightful dinners got it, the chef customised the pie. This delicious deep filled chicken in sauce was accompanied by a mountain of fresh & tasty... More

The Rising Sun is a fantastic experience - great service and superb food at a good price. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful (and efficient). If you haven 't been, you're missing out. Best food in Wiltshire.
