Can't help going back , owners staff & food quality are top notch !

It's easy to see why this Thai has the best reviews , Not many places can tick all the boxes. Here though select the 1/2/ or 3 spice option , fantastic menu , Staff & owners always have a genuine smile & make you feel welcome . We love the layout as two seating areas plus bar seating & a... read more

Located at the eastern end of Purewell Rd in Christchurch and close to the Stanpit roundabout, this pub is easily missed. We came across it quite by accident and only noticed it by being stuck in a traffic snarl up right outside. The pub does have its own car park, but it is quite small and the local on street... More

My son came to visit at the last moment, we had previously eaten at the Rising Sun & always enjoyed it. As this was Mothers Day I thought we may not get in, but as it was only two of us we managed to get a booking for 2.15. Since we were last there it has been refurbished, very attractively.... More

Fantastic food and service. The staff are really friendly and it has a great atmosphere. The food is always so delicious. The outside space in the garden is an added bonus as you can have your meal and then sit outside and enjoy another drink (or 2). It is even good to sit outside in the winter as there are... More

This restaurant has recently become a favourite of mine after being introduced to it by a colleague at work. The food is delicious, the staff friendly and they serve your soda in a wine glass, now that I like! There is a large terrace area for warmer weather. Car park a little small but plenty of parking on the road... More

From the outside the Rising Sun looks much like any other pub, but it is much more. The car park has limited space and leads past a large outdoor but sheltered drinking and eating area. Inside, as we were on this cold February lunchtime, we were presently surprised by the decor. The bar and eating areas being contemporary with a... More

Yum - loved the starters (especially the fishcakes!). The main courses were beautifully made & presented. I have tried other Thai restaurants in the area - this is the best by far!

chicken stays small and peanut sauce not very nice but the pad Thai was tasteless, dry and full of peanuts and large bits of carrots, gross. Charged £7 for prawn crackers, only had one portion and they were average. Much better food at a certain popular Thai in b'Mouth, boscome and now Christchurch. Service average had to wait ages for...
