The Fisherman's Haunt is a country pub with a few rooms bookable. It is in a pleasant location outside of Christchurch and serves meals in a restaurant section. On my previous visits the pub restaurant has been unremarkable, but adequate. Today, the restaurant failed big time, in that it had, apparently, booked more diners than it could cope with. Several... Our room was very comfortable and there were several good, small touches, such as real coffee with a cafetiere. Staff were very helpful indeed. Our 'gamekeeper's pie' had plenty of tasty meat and we enjoyed the meal. Why, though, was a pint of bitter and a soft drink £8.29? At breakfast again, friendly staff and prompt service. Tea/coffee were both... More

I took my elderly mum and a couple of friends out for sunday lunch here. It was busy but the service was prompt and friendly. Despite the good selection on the menu 3 of our party decided to have the sunday roast - which was great. The meat was tender, roast potatoes well cooked, and a dish of 5 different... More

We went to the Fisherman`s Haunt for a family lunch and it was all great. Everyone ordered a different main course and everybody loved what they had chosen. Service was spot on, the food was tasty and hot and the prices reasonable. I can definitely recommend the Fisherman`s Haunt and will certainly be eating there again.

went to the fisherman's for a lovely meal and catch up with some friends, we all had great food. I had the fish and chips and it was very nice, crisp batter and soft flaky fish. I would recommend it to anybody.

We visited the Fishermans Haunt and all three of us plus our Chinese Cresty Jade, thought that the food and welcome were first class. Reading some of the bad reviews makes me think that either they were at a different pub !! or nothing would make them happy :) The staff were great, made a fuss of Jade, gave her a... More

It's got such a nice comfortable feel to it. They keep the menu simple and deliver it well. Sophia is a bit of a Doris but great entertainment. I'm not really a fan of Jazz but I didn't offend me at all on Thursday night - the tables are a bit low and the chairs a but high so crossing... More
