My daughter and I visited the Kings Arms for an evening meal while on holiday in Christchurch. We had 30 minutes spare before eating so we enjoyed a house cocktail and a saffron infused gin in the comfy bar. The barman was very helpful and chatty. The menu was varied and we both opted for steak. The girls serving were... More

We had friends staying for the weekend as he was to speak at a prestigious celebratory dinner I was hosting for my Rotary Club and as I thank you to him and his wife we needed to go a reasonably priced restaurant as a thank you - we therefore chose the Kings Arms as we have been impressed before. We... More

Following the disappointing meal my husband and I had a few weeks ago at The Kings Arms when I gave a negative report, we were invited by Lukasz to return for a complimentary dinner. I'm delighted to say that The Kings Arms has redeemed itself in our eyes as the meal we had last night was perfect and back to... More

Second time of coming to this restaurant/hotel and the same experience - excellent. Food, service, ambiance wonderful and my friend who has just gone through a bereavement loved it and it helped her through her sadness. She wants to come back and stay once she feels ready to stay on her own.

My husband and I dined here for our wedding anniversary together with our 13 year old daughter. Right from the word go we were cared for to the utmost standard. The waitress was attentive and friendly and very professional. The food was outstanding (DO try the ham hock, its amazing). Not hurried and nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere... More

We are staying at the King's Arms and usually we try the hotel's restaurant,  it's a hit and miss affair but worth trying. This was a miss!!  There's two of us, and despite this got shown to a rounds lamp table which is only fit for single diner.  It's a Tuesday night and the restaurant is less than half full so... My friend and I chose to have lunch at the Kings Arms. Whilst they have an a la carte menu, their special offer of 2 courses for £10 with a free drink seemed too good to miss. We were delighted with our choice. The menu selection was very good, and the food was delicious. The staff were friendly and efficient.... More

A Thursday evening and we tried the tasting menu. The nibbles were fine, the starter was a rather uninspiring selection served on a plank of wood. The mackerel was good and the rest was just OK. The toasted bread was too hard to eat safely. The cheese soufflé was just magnificent. The main course was a mixed grill which was... More

My brothers and I recently took our parents to this restaurant for their 30th wedding anniversary. Staff were really helpful and offered to decorate the table which gave the night an added nice touch. The food was brilliant with lots of choice and good portions. The layout is very modern and classy but overall good value for money. Would strongly... More

We have been to this restaurant many times over the years for dinner and lunch and we returned yesterday for Lunch and was just as good as remembered. Food is fantastic, service superb and venue has a great interior design. Management are brilliant. Never had a bad meal. Thoroughly recommend.
