We stopped here for lunch on the way back from a visit to the theatre and were immediately wowed by the atmosphere of the place! The staff were warm and friendly and the food was fresh and tasty. My wife enjoyed a delicious bubble and squeak whereas I opted for the pancakes... Both were very impressive! We will certainly be... More

We were attracted by the rather odd name, which we later learned was something to do with the owner's children (I think!). Anyway we were the only customers mid afternoon at that point looking for a cup of tea. The greeting on entry was a little parsimonious I felt, but later it became warmer as we chatted. We ordered the... More

Saturday morning breakfast . Very busy and people had actually booked ! We were lucky to get a table but suffered from being by the door - all the deliveries for the day were coming through the main entrance which did result in drafts- a rather unusual set up . The breakfasts were freshly cooked with excellent poached eggs .The... More

Food is AMAZING but sometimes the atmosphere bit difficult, especially if you don't have young children. All the signs around the place are pretty tacky - I think they're selling themselves short because the quality is there. We went upstairs recently to eat, as very noisy downstairs, and the volume of the music was so high - impossible to chat,... More

My husband and I enjoy a delicious breakfast occasionally on a Saturday morning. A leisurely time over a cooked breakfast, coffee and juice whilst reading the papers.

Despite it looking like a cafe inside, I find it hard to say anything negative about this place. This is our third visit here and the standards of friendliness, service and food quality are still as good as when we first came over a year ago. I rest my case.

The staff seem only to care about themselves instead of looking after customers. Breakfast was bad, I mean really bad, it was as if somebody had left it under the grill for an hour and then dropped it on the floor. Plenty of better cafés out there.
