A very nice meal at reasonable prices. Service is very good. The only criticism I have is with the dessert menu. There was very little choice as it was and we were informed the freezer had broken down so anything with ice cream was off the menu, which only left two options for dessert, I thought this was quite poor... I go here a lot, the meals I've eaten of a evening have always been generally good, today I had lunch and it was really rushly made and all wrong! I'd asked for no cranberry and it came with it anyway, I didn't have time to wait for it to be changed so I suffered, it was a pretty standard... More

Been here many times now on visits to the Bournemouth area, a favourite for lunch or dinner IF The Kings isn't available or if we need to eat a little faster or lower cost. The food is normally very good - better than average and can be outstanding at times, but the service (though somewhat friendly) is lackluster. They don't... More

Came here on a whim as walking past and to stop somewhere for a bite to eat. Service was really fast and we all enjoyed lovely fresh sandwiches and chips. My mums crab sandwhich was fab, no shells and all white crab which is quite unusual as most mix with brown crab. My husband said his beef sandwich was the... More

We ate dinner here as they were showing an England match. Found staff to be pleasant enough and service was good. I had chicken breast with creamed cabbage and bacon and Lyonnaise potatoes and it was very tasty. My partner had a beef meal and also enjoyed it. All food very well presented. The bar man (could have been the... More

We went to the Ship for a quick early dinner bbefore going to the Regents Centre opposite. The staff could not have been more helpful making sure that we completed our meal in time. The food was lovely asn attractively presented. I had a slow greek style lamb dish which was meltingly tender and very tasty.

good service BUT the food let it all down I felt it was over priced along with a poor red wine from which left a lot to be desired in what was served. The only saving grace was the girl with the long black hair that served us. Sorry not going back to eat.

Arrived expecting an interesting lunch, but at 2pm was told the kitchen was closed....Great for a holiday centre pub!...went on down the High Street to Cheese and Alfies, and enjoyed a nice meal.
