the staff are great, the food is good, the atmosphere is dull and lacking, especially at this time of year, but this place was certainly seasonal during our visit.....the place was FREEZING! The staff had blocked one air conditioning outlet but couldn't do anything about the one freezing us half to death. We ate our meal with overcoats on! This... More

I ate here last night with a friend after work. We both enjoyed our food and the service was fine. I enjoyed the plaice and the cheesecake. My friend had salmon and cheesecake. Only thing was, 2 hours later I was violently sick. I checked with my friend this morning and she was fine, so it must have been the... More

Party of 12, 5 mains went back as they were cold. One main went back 3 times (the same dish just kept coming back reheated until we insisted on a new one). Then they ran out of afters (to the embarrassment of the waitress). Steaks were cold, food was fast food standard apart from starters. Not from the area but... More

Table booked for 15 for a birthday meal. The restaurant is half empty so not busy for a Sunday lunch time. Starters were fine although I didn't order one. Trouble started with the mains however. I ordered steak which was stone cold and with it being rare, made me uneasy to eat. The solution was to reheat the same piece... More

I have been to loch fyne a few times since living in egham and it's a really beautiful restaurant with well presented and tasty dishes. Lots of wine choice also! Pretty expensive if you go for dinner, but lunchtime is fabulous value and the set menu is very, very good.

A lovely late lunch with my mother and husband- with only a couple of other tables occupied. The service was superb, and the food was delicious- I had the fish where you choose which fish, how you want it cooked, and what side orders-the salon and sides was delicious. A very enjoyable afternoon

Although our waitress was attentive and polite, the whole experience was let down by the food. After eating at Loch Fyne in the past, the Egham branch let the brand down. I ordered tempura squid to start, which was undercooked and stodgy, followed by seafood tagliatelle, where the seafood was over-cooked (particularly the squid) whilst the dish as a whole... More

There were 4 adults and 2 children at 4pm when the place was empty except two other tables. We got told as we were such a large party we would have to pay £150 advance! I tried to say our bill wouldn't even be half of that, offered to pay £50 advance as didn't want to disappoint the children by... More

Unbelievably poor service. Slow, forgot one of our starters, over an hour to take our order and a further two hours to finish. Couldn't be bothered to wait for dessert. Food pretty average as well. Portions tiny and fish overcooked. Have eaten here many times but this will be the last.

Looks great from the outside. Lives up to expectations on the inside. We arrived late at 9.30pm so very quiet but still nice. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I had Squid for starters and the Seabass for main with buttered potatoes and green beans. It was amazing. You can find vouchers for it as well. Definitely would recommend... More
