Nice meal but no atmosphere

We came here with friends one evening between Christmas and New Year. There was hardly anyone there and no atmosphere. We were the only four left there by about 9.30pm! Service was good, well it should be with so few people. The food was good too. The lobster bisque could have been a bit creamier... read more

Table at 6.30pm on a Saturday night - the table including 3 children was served quickly, by very polite staff. Food was good, and kids menu more adventurous than most. A nice dinner out.

We have given this place several goes because we like the one in Ascot and also the one in Poole Dorset but for some reason this one has always dissapointed.

Superb restaurant in an amazing building full of character and history. Food amazing all freshly cooked with such an amazing choice of menu. The setting is really lovely with very efficient staff who are so helpful and cheerful. The best fish I have ever tasted.

Staff very friendly but food a real disappoint. Not worth the money. Only 5 out of ten for quality and taste. Not sure who was cooking on Weds this week. Fish over cooked. Paprika butter tasteless. Deep fried courgette so greasy. Mussels for the starter were OK, garlic prawns also over cooked. Don't waste your money. 😜😡

Been here twice now in last couple of years around beginning of Jan and its been terrible both times. The food is extremely overpriced and poorly executed i would have been embarassed to serve it if i worked there. My scallop starter was ludicrous, one small scallop sliced horizontally into 3 slices of a few mm to make it look... More

This is a pleasant establishment, nice and clean with good food. It was lunchtime and so not very busy. The service was very good with pleasant, helpful staff. Fish and chips was very nicely cooked and a good portion size. Pudding was also very nice. I would eat here again.

Went to Loch Fyne with a family group of 12 for Christmas Day lunch. Had a great experience with excellent service, food and atmosphere. Although busy they managed to serve us in a most efficient and friendly way. Well done to Loch Fyne and your lovely staff.
