Delicious food with attentive staff and quiet restaurant

We visited the restaurant again last Wednesday afternoon, and the restaurant was lovely and quiet. The staff are really attentive, without being annoying- they always explain what is fish of the day and show you the choice of two menus. The fish is delicious and always wonderfully presented. A lovely afternoon spent with my 92 year old mother!

I have only visited here a few times over several years however this reflects a conclusion of mine that Loch Fyne is a special occasion location and for me those special occasions are few and far between. Every time I have visited here I could find no fault with the food, cooking, ambience or service.

....but it can be very noisy because of the wooden floors and open space. The bar area is very attractive.

Went with my husband for Valentine's day. We were welcomed in my the manager on entrance and taken to our seats. I had the set menu which was four courses, including champagne, dessert and coffee and truffles. The food was lovely especially the mussels. I have travelled many places and haven't tasted mussels cooked like that. My husband had the... More

I've being to Loch Fyne a few times now and I'm writing this review based in all of these times. The service is alright, even with the restaurant half empty it takes a long time to someone to come to serve you. The biggest problem is food, nothing tastes fresh, the grilled fish on the menu tastes more like fish... More

A lovely restaurant, service was excellent, couldn't be more helpful, especially as my daughter is limited on what she can eat. Food was very good and we had a pleasant meal. The only issue was that although the restaurant was not completely full it was very noisy and it was quite difficult to hold a conversation.

I've eaten here a number of times now and the fact that they have different staff members is tantamount to the level of disservice this particular branch provides The standard of food provided is, in my opinion, lower than other Loch Fyne locations I have eaten at Service is typically hit and miss at this Egham location too However, last... The food was nice but it didn't blow me away. I would say it is a little overpriced in comparison to the quality of the food and service but all in all a nice meal. Slight blips in that the waitress forgot the olives and the restaurant was a little chilly!

Went to Loch Fyne last night with some friends and had a great meal. The restaurant was busy, but not packed and the waitresses were very attentive. I started with potted mackerel, and had the seafood tagliatelle as my main. Both dishes were perfectly prepared and presented, as were all our dishes. One of my friends was even able to... More
