Merlot - No. 1 in Enniskillen

We dine at Merlot several times a year. It never ceases to impress. The food is delicious and great value for lunch. The buzz is just right - no over-powering music. Service is excellent. The owner's knowledge about wines and (continental) beers is impressive. All in all a lovely dining... read more

Really good find. Last evening meal. Beautifully presented, will need to go back as could have chosen many things from menu. Recommend visiting Blakes of the Hollow bar afterwards. Have a look at menus from the past in the upper stairwell on the top floor sister restaurant. Some wonderful wines....

Attended as part of a large group. They were well able to deal with us, swiftly taking our orders and providing us with drinks. The male gentleman (who I presume is the owner), was extremely knowledgable about the menu and it was a pleasure having him serve us. There was a lot of steak ordered by us and each was... More

The area where you eat is fascinating and beautiful. The food was terrific. The only problem I had was that I like my food on a plate and some dishes were served on a slate. It's great if you like that.

We went to Cafe Merlot on the recommendation of friends and we were not disappointed. The food was dazzling. Service, presentation and overall atmosphere were top drawer. The early bird menu is also great value (5.30pm to 7pm) I had the smoked salmon which was as good a dish I can remember for a long time. Booking at the weekends... More

If you have food allergies avoid, don't think duck and prawns go together or cod with Bourgion sauce! Had good rib eye steak, very busy and had to wait for 40 minutes for table which was prebooked. Good atmosphere with waiters falling over themselves. The jury is out!!

Was recommended this restaurant by a friend and was delighted to find that she was absolutely right to do so. The ambiance, the food and the staff couldn`t have been better and to top it all the food was very good value for money (£16.95 for 2 courses - we paid £19.95 as we had the rib eye which was...
