Best meal of our holiday

This was the best meal by far we had on our travels. It was Michelin quality without the price tag. A little hard to find at first, we entered via the door to the toilets from the Bar of William Blakes' Pub. Down the stairs to the cellar where a wonderful experience unfolded. The food was amazing, service efficient, but not overpoweful. An excellent meal.

We decided to go for sunday lunch as a 50th birthday treat for myself ,and as usual was not disappointed.... More

There is nowhere in Fermanagh better than Cafe Merlot for food and service. Whether it is lunch or evening meal, the attention to detail is excellent. My favourite at lunchtime is definitely the risotto. Great variety of delicious meals on the evening menu too. If in Enniskillen, don't miss it!

If your in Enniskillen Cafe Merlot is an absolute must. The atmosphere is fantastic and the food, well it's second to none. The menu might appear to be limited, but every dish on it is outstanding.

Food is always delicious and very well presented. No complaints. I wish the owner/ manager would slow down it makes you feel a little uneasy rushing to get you seated, calm down, but go you will enjoy the food.

Cafe Merlot always delivers top class food with European style and flourish. The wine list pays tribute to John Donnelly's expertise and he is always delighted to advise so that you can enjoy matching a wine to your choice of food. Evenings are lively, book ahead!

Arrived having looked on Trip Advisor for a nice place to eat so thought No 1 in the town would be the place. Nice staff but slightly inexperienced. Tried hard but missed a few little things that I guess matter a bit . No serviettes , then a bit of a disaster with someone else's starter at our table ie... More

Called in without reservation on a Thursday evening. The restaurant was steady but not particularly busy. We had starters of goats cheese and fishcake and for mains the cod as we are both fish lovers. In terms of the food it was good, although not sure the fish which sat on a bed of beef bourguignon quite worked. Lovely building... More

This restaurant was superb. We went with a couple of French bon viveurs and they were really impressed. The food was original, beautifully cooked and the service was spot on. Nothing too fussy or pretentious. The owner/chef was there on our second night and what he didn't know about his wines would just about fit on a pinhead! Exceptional.
