Enjoyed an excellent coffee here from a wide menu & decided to stay for lunch. They offered a wide choice we chose sea bass with vegetables which looked lovely but they had run out it was only 1 PM. Instead we settled for posh fish & chips with tartare sauce, this came beautifully presented with 3 different fish in a... More

We visited last night, lovely food but we were totally ripped off on the wine. My husband could not decide which to have so was advised to have 'a local wine' by the glass.....when the bill came it was £11.75 per glass. We should have asked the price but as they were so friendly we did not think for a... More

Lovely restaurant with exceptional, attentive service. Bouillabaise was great and catered really well for a vegan in the group. Don't mix it up with the chippy next door!

We has fish and chips Here from the takeaway operated by this restaurant on the quay. I can only say it should not be too hard to get a proper portion of fish and chips in this part of the world. Unfortunately the oil used was rancid and so both fish and chips left a very unsavoury aftertaste which took... More

A perfect setting and the menu looked great, but what a disappointment. I ordered grilled mackerel which arrived looking beautiful, however the fish was blood red in the middle and the flesh on the underside was completely raw. When I complained it was taken away (without an apology) and the waitress returned and said the chef was sorry and would... More

A very well presented restaurant in a wonderful location commanding a great position on the the Fowey riverside. Walking along in the sunshine we saw they had a nice looking take away counter and ordered three portions of (pretty overpriced, but we are tourists!) fish & chips. We were given a ticket and pointed to wait on a bench outside... More

We were a group of four who happened upon this restaurant by chance. It sits on the Quay in Fowey harbour, possibly the smallest but most active harbours I have ever seen. As we ate, three yacht races started next to us from medium sized vessels down to Lasars and skiffs. The quay was very crowded with school holliday visitors,... More

Shockingly bad. After a rather worrying sandwich which was returned after unfortunately eating the non hair half first. An unpleasant owner was not even gracious enough to complimentarily remove the £4 bottle of beer of the poor diner (my daughter) who had been subjected to such a suspect sandwich. The price of the sandwich £9.50(!) was deducted. £100 lunch for... More

Spotted this little place one evening and booked a table. Great food, friendly, efficient staff and fabulous views of the river.

What a shame. One very, very rude and abrupt waiter dominates the front of house. Casting a miserable shadow over what would otherwise be a lovely place to eat. Such a pitty for the other servers who were sweet and helpful!! The food was pleasant and in a way there was a certain "Fawlty Towers" comedy element, watching gentile families... More
