Shockingly bad. After a rather worrying sandwich which was returned after unfortunately eating the non hair half first. An unpleasant owner was not even gracious enough to complimentarily remove the £4 bottle of beer of the poor diner (my daughter) who had been subjected to such a suspect sandwich. The price of the sandwich £9.50(!) was deducted. £100 lunch for... More

Spotted this little place one evening and booked a table. Great food, friendly, efficient staff and fabulous views of the river.

What a shame. One very, very rude and abrupt waiter dominates the front of house. Casting a miserable shadow over what would otherwise be a lovely place to eat. Such a pitty for the other servers who were sweet and helpful!! The food was pleasant and in a way there was a certain "Fawlty Towers" comedy element, watching gentile families... More

How unfortunate that the restaurant seem to rely on their location and feel it is quite appropriate to give an arrogant, surly and unhelpful service. Our order was brought to us separately and also wrongly. One of our party was without food for the duration the rest of us ate, so we cancelled the one meal. This came without any... More

Booking taken in the morning by a surly waiter cleaning up after the night before. Arrived at 7 pm, the appointed hour to find nothing really ready so the atmosphere wasn't really "electric" as tables still being laid etc. Order taken for drinks and then it was all rather chaotic dishes arriving seemingly at random. There just didn't seem to... More

Crab sandwich, nice and fresh on quality bread. Timely service. Waiters weren't rude but they were a tad abrupt.

On a brief visit to Fowey, found this place on the quayside. Fantastic view over the harbour and beyond. On our visit, everyone was seated in the narrow marquee style area around the outside of the building. It was early afternoon and we only stopped for a tea and a coffee, but they were good and the service was excellent.... More

We went to the Restaurant and arrived 10 minutes early , were seated at our table and told we could have it for the entire evening as no one else had booked it. The Head waiter was good, we ordered wine and when it came we ordered starters and mains. The starters were good, but as we finished them the... More

the two of us ordered our meal minutes after a table of four - our mains only meal arrived when they were starting on dessert, having consumed their starters and mains, I understand the food is freshly cooked but I think its going too far to go out and actually catch my fish. one and a half hours to arrive... Another great location (quayside at Fowey) but overall, just an 'ok' experience. Two mussel and chips, one fish goujon and chips and one dressed crab salad meal ordered and 3 out of 4 satisfied family members followed. The mussels and fish goujons were pretty much ok, if not remarkable, but the dressed crab was again lacking in white meat count.... More
