Good homemade food, order at bar with food delivered to table. Good choice for whole family with wholesome portions.

Really good pub and good atmosphere, good beers but not so good food. My son had fish which had so many bones in he couldn't eat half of it, shame really as it could have been great

Visited this lovely traditional pub after a long 8 hour journey from Sheffield. It was 8:50 and they stopped serving food at 9pm. The friendly bar man had no problem in taking our order for the fish & chips and fish pie plus a lovely pint of Local Cornish ale. The food arrived very quickly, not only was it piping... More

Dreadful service, food and a night out visit the lugger. The staff (landlady/lord) will ensure you feel uncomfortable and as though you are intruding. The food will be tough and generally poor. They will ignore your concerns - I sent my steak back and received no apology and only got a refund when I demanded it. This really is a... More

Please don't go, unless you want poor service, rude owners and awful food. I have been visiting Cornwall for 3o years and this is the worst pub in all respects that I have had the misfortune to visit. Dated and smelly, ok its an old place so that can be excused. I cant excuse the arrogance of the owners, that... More

We visited on an afternoon midweek in July. First impressions were that this is a dated, grim old place (coming from someone who normally loves old pubs). Initial impression was then proved right when I asked if they did food and the older lady (maybe landlady) said no they'd finished, so given this, I politely asked if she would mind... More

Visited this pub in the evening late July. Fowey was very busy as it was the main holiday season for the town. The pub was fairly full but service was good. The menu was varied but with main courses at about £9 each seemed well priced. The food was good, what I would class as better than average pub food... More

Excellent quality of food, good location and dog friendly. A great local with the added benefits of home cooked food. Had we not been walking the coast path, we would have eaten here again. Relatively good value although a side salad of small proportions was £4.95 (a portion of chips £2.50) and was needed as the main course came without... More

We visited Fowey at the beginning of July and the Lugger Inn was our favourite for both a relaxing drink and food. We ended up eating on three separate occasions due to the quality of the food. The crab sandwich was exceptional. It's not a glossy, pretentious place and found it relaxing and appeared popular with visitors and locals. The... More

Not a massive menu but enough of a variety to suit most. Decent sized portions but more importantly great quality grub! Not sure why one reviewer said their burger was the worst when I can tell you the exact opposite is true! Scallops also superb, as are all the other dishes my family have tried here. We've eaten here 4... More
