Excellent pub food

This is just how pub food should be. A typical pub menu but all cooked well. Steak pie with lots of meat. Good fish and chips with excellent batter. Most essential - great chips! A friendly landlady and young girls serving who were pleasant and efficient. The pub itself has loads of character.

Ate lunch here with three others, all of us light eaters. The two who ordered crab sandwiches were very happy with their choice, which came well stuffed with crab meat and a small salad on the side. They were nicely washed down with the local ale. I used the opportunity to try stilton, which has always 'scared' me. It was... More

Ate here with wife and (adult) son. Delicious plaice and vegetables. Also good fish stew for gluten and dairy free son. Nice surroundings and decent beer too.

My wife and I visit her relatives regularly in Cornwall. We always make time for a trip to the luggar. The food is really reliable and great St Austell ales. Awesome place

Turning up in Fowey at lunchtime on Mothers Day was going to present issues looking for somewhere to eat with everywhere looking very busy. The Lugger had plenty of room and we had a great lunch. It seemed most of the other customers were locals too, always a good sign.

No fish and chip shop in Fowey? Mental! Anyway, still wanted fish and chips, the Luggar delivered. Light batter on the fish, which is preferred and a cheeky Guinness!

We were recommended The Lugger Inn by the staff at CLC. Food is cooked fresh, is great quality, large portions and at a great price.

My friends and I had two meals over New Year. I have to say the mussels were fantastic, fish and chips delicious. One of my friends had scallops and the other steak, both saying they were beautiful. I would highly recommend.

A large group of friends all gathered here for pre lunch drinks. Good basic pub. Nice Atmosphere. But above all a great pint of Tribute.

Great coffee and view. Helpful and polite staff. Obviously a locals pub but we were made welcome. The food seemed imaginative and had we had more time would have tried it.
