Quaint and good food

This is a really old fashioned and quaint tea rooms - but all the better for it. The food and drinks are served on bone china, and in rooms that are like sitting in an old drawing room The range of food and drink is excellent. We are fortunate enough to live just four miles from Fowey and often pop there after school for a walk and maybe a snack. This was our first visit to the dwelling house as I has always thought it looked a bit too,"grown up"for us. How wrong I was it was an absolute delight the cream tea we shared was... More

Fancy tea and cake in granny's parlour? This is the place. There are loads of different teas to choose from a separate menu. There are loads of lovely looking cakes. We had crumpets - my wife had savoury with grated Cornish cheese and a salad side. Mine were just buttered - very nice too. The loo upstairs is in a... More

As always, nothing too much trouble so I was able to enjoy my cupcake (the 'cream tea' version) as a carefully wrapped take-away as I crossed the Tamar on a London-bound train. Back soon!

Best crab sandwich I've had anywhere. My toddler was catered for with a half portion and they could not have been more hospitable catering for us with a 5 month old baby.

The mint tea was to die for and the gluten free cake was fabulous. The care and attention was excellent. A most enjoyable relaxing way to spend a break from the shopping (which was also excellent). Probably a little more pricey than your ordinary café but well worth it.

OK this place is worth the journey stunning place only must on our recent revisit trip to Devon & Cornwall. The food is stunning the place is quaint and querky with the kitchen area looking like something from Home and Gardens. It not perfect but that would mean it would lose it charm if it was as the summer student... More

We shared a cheese toastie, that they split onto 2 plates and came with ENORMOUS, but well dressed side salad. I suspect the price is a little over inflated but you expect that in Fowey. Serving the cheese toastie with spicy sweet & sour sauce was a lovely touch. We also shared a delicious light homemade cake. Were told we... More

I have been here before but in teh summer and ate in teh rear courtyard, so hadnt realised quite how cramped and shabby the interior is. I dont think its actually dirty, or I wouldnt have eaten there, but its all very, very shabby, I know there is meant to be some character, but the furniture and paintwork, and carpet... More
