Great food, great decor, great staff! This place is lovely, I highly recommend the savory tea with chilli fam - a perfect change to the usual cream teas. A lovely choice of cakes and food which is all prepare on site in full view of the dinners. I can't rate this place any higher.

Based on the reviews from tripadvisor we popped into this lovely little cafe. Unfortunately it was full if flies which tells me its not clean so didnt even sit down. Flies over the tables. Couldn't get out quickly enough. Shame really as looked lovely inside.

A small but attractive tea rooms, we have sat out the back and also inside. You can watch the scones being made and they then arrive on a tiered plate warm and delicious. They take their tea and coffee seriously with a wide range of teas on offer. Staff were very friendly. Unusual loo, but will leave that to you... More

We sat outside at the back. It is not very spacious but we enjoyed being out having our tea and cakes. It is great to see this woman mixing flour and making cake in their little kitchen. It feels very authentic where it comes from. Lovely selection of cakes. Not cheap for just tea and a slice of cake but... More

Friendly service, a comfortable and individual old house, with a great menu. My homemade soup was delicious and the omelette was large and freshly made.

As a Fowey-based, Cornish couple we do visit rather often. Never have we had bad service, tea or food. They are always very welcoming and friendly, and the setting (perhaps 1930s-1940's styled) is not of your typical cafe, offering something rather warm and nostalgic. We usually order the Golden Needles (so tasty) black tea.. But sometimes find it fun to... More

Can't tick one of the best meals I've had but certainly one of the best cream teas ever. We had the high tea (for breakfast, mnam) and it was great. The scones were unbelievable, fresh hot and perfect. Sandwiches were a good selection and the cakes we had were perfect.

What a fantastic dog friendly establishment. No request was too much trouble. Scones were warm and light with scrumptious clotted cream and an array of delicious jam, my personal favourite was the black currant. The tea was plentiful and tasty. I would return at every opportunity and recommend to anyone looking for a great place to eat.

We always like to visit the Dwelling House along the high street after taking the car ferry over - saves lots of miles and is really beautiful. Afternoon tea was enough to share between three of us! I enjoyed leek and potato soup with a chunk of freshly made bread. Everything is home made there and they have a huge... More
