Absolutely wonderful! Stopped in for lunch and as busy as it was the service was fast and so very welcoming. The cakes looked amazing but the lunch menu was top notch Perfect, thank you

Not just the best tearoom, the best food. I've been coming here since it opened eight years ago and the quality and presentation is absolutely consistent. Everything is prepared fresh with the highest quality ingredients and generous portions. The salads, the morning bacon roll, the proper Welsh rarebit are made by Teresa in the open plan kitchen, carefully and with... More

I've said this is 'unique' because it's the only time I've ever been asked in a tea room if I wanted my Darjeeling to be first flush or second flush! I hardly knew what to say! We sat in the garden and had a cream tea, and once more, this is the only time I have ever been told that... More

We visited The Dwelling House as a large family group, 7 adults, 1 baby and 2 dogs! They were so lovely and accommodating, and let us sit in the beautiful little back garden when it was free, even though we completely filled it! Their fruit cake was vegan so I was very happy! There was a great choice of tea,... More

We were looking for a cafe, preferably with a nice view, for a cup of tea and a slice of cake, after a fabulous trip on the river. It was about 4pm and a lot of the cafes were closing. We were thrilled to be welcomed into this cafe and they have a charming little garden at the back. There... More

This is a really old fashioned and quaint tea rooms - but all the better for it. The food and drinks are served on bone china, and in rooms that are like sitting in an old drawing room The range of food and drink is excellent. The quality of the cakes (particularly the scones) is second to none. If there... More

We are fortunate enough to live just four miles from Fowey and often pop there after school for a walk and maybe a snack. This was our first visit to the dwelling house as I has always thought it looked a bit too,"grown up"for us. How wrong I was it was an absolute delight the cream tea we shared was... More

Fancy tea and cake in granny's parlour? This is the place. There are loads of different teas to choose from a separate menu. There are loads of lovely looking cakes. We had crumpets - my wife had savoury with grated Cornish cheese and a salad side. Mine were just buttered - very nice too. The loo upstairs is in a... More

As always, nothing too much trouble so I was able to enjoy my cupcake (the 'cream tea' version) as a carefully wrapped take-away as I crossed the Tamar on a London-bound train. Back soon!
