A quaint little tearoom with an lovely little garden seating area. The food is home made and served by a friendly and smiley group of people who seem to enjoy what they do. Well worth a visit

If you come to Fowey, you must stop and have a tea and sweet at this darling shop. All is homemade on premise-the best cream tea I had in Cornwall.

Don't miss this gem of a tea shop. Friendly service and great cakes. Right in the middle of Fowey but has a sweet courtyard garden.

My partner and I went into this quaint tea room and we were not disappointed. From the start the staff were lovely and friendly and we were made really welcome and We were lucky to get a table in the garden. The big pot of tea was fab and enough for three cups each and the fruit tea cakes had... More

Having lunch here was like stepping back in time and sitting in my grandmother's front room! Service was very friendly and helpful and the crab sandwich was wonderful. As others have mentioned, the toilet is 'interesting'. Do give The Dwelling House a try.

This place is a real gem. Lying on the main drag away from the quayside, it's easy to overlook, but do try it out. The menu is very extensive, ranging from eggs on toast to more sophisticated dishes - something for everyone. It's pretty intimate - they've crammed all the tables they can possibly manage into the small space -... More

We tried to find a great cream tea place in Fowey to break up our journey home. Having looked at the recommendations we decided on The Dwelling House. It was pouring with rain and clearly people had taken refuge in tea shops. We waited over 25mins despite people leaving the tea shop. When we eventually got seated it was obvious... More

The Dwelling House is a very quaint tea room, with tables dotted about downstairs as well as outside. The toilet is even located in one of the unused bedrooms of the house on the upper floor. The food is brilliant, it all tasted very fresh. The crab sandwich was delicious. We were served by several waitresses, who were all very... More

A quaint little tea room serving the most divine homemade cakes, and scones straight from the oven. Do not miss it if you are in Fowey.
