We visited the Lifebuoy Cafe for breakfast and we had one of the best breakfasts ever here! The food was fresh and not greasy, great surroundings and pleasant service. Prices are reasonable, service was quick a great experience. The cafe itself is delightful clean and quirky will definitely go again highly recommended!

What a wonderful place. Quirky, great for a trip down memory lane, played snakes and ladders whilst having breakfast. Great decor, fabulous original retro toys and great food.

My wife and I chose Lifebuoy based on previous TA reviews & were not disappointed. I think we'd still have eaten here anyway as it looked very inviting from the outside. The Lifebuoy is a cosy wee place & we received a warm welcome. We both had the Lifebuoy regular breakfast(there is the Fat Buoy for those with a bigger... More

I always like to read Tripadvisor reviews wherever I am going to stay. This had a good review, friendly staff. We had breakfast here today and was pleasantly surprised at the choice on the menu, excellent food, nice coffee. Papers and magazines to read, also cater for children which is always a plus these days. A nice find.

Stopped for coffee and ended up going back for lunch! The food was amazing great cakes and would recommend the fish finger (homemade) buttys and children's menu. The cafe itself is full of retro memorabilia which is fascinating, great for children too as there are books to read and games on the tables & etch-a-sketch to play with. Friendly &... More

We popped in here for a cream tea and were not disappointed, the scones were lovely and the tea was plentiful. What really lifted the cafe out of the ordinary was the retro toys and books they had dotted around. These gave amusement and were a great conversation topic on a rainy afternoon :-)

Really great cafe, lovely friendly people serving traditional english food to a great standard and at sensible prices.. The tea comes in a tea-pot, the cakes on a cake tray and the english breakfast is magnificent. Nothing more needs to be said.

As a couple of Aussie travellers we can see why the Lifebuoy Cafe is so well reviewed. We had a couple of nice breakfasts there. Great choice of food and great coffee. On our second visit the rain teemed outside and we could have happily sat, ate, read, played and talked all day. The owner was friendly and professional, and... More

Pros: friendly, good home-cooked food with quality local produce, cosy feel, central location Cons: not a wide breakfast selection Conclusion: we visited here a number of times for breakfast during our stay in Fowey and would highly recommend it. Cakes looked good too!
