Cream Tea

A very quirky little cafe and yummy cream tea! The only down side was the tables where a little bit too squished together! Would definitely visit again and if you have children they have books & games too entertain them.

What's not to like? We tried a few places during our trip to Fowey and went back to this place a couple of times. The coffee (espresso) was the best we had in Fowey but we had pretty grim stuff elsewhere to be honest. The food was good too and the ladies that run the place very friendly. Definitely to... More

I visited the Lifebuoy Cafe today on a daytrip to Fowey. I was seated in the window, so I could watch the world go by and write my travel journal. The girls who were serving were really friendly and I had the best crab cakes I'd ever tasted, served with sautéed potatoes, a delicious fresh salad and sweet chilli sauce.... More

Delicious locally sourced food served with old world charm in this small 50s style cafe. Somewhere you have to visit when in Fowey.

A glorious fishfinger sandwich and a vegetarian patty / bake full of veg rather than being padded out with potato. Well worth stopping at.

We stopped by the Lifebuoy Cafe on a stroll through Fowey for Cream Tea. It was fantastic. Two soft, fresh, warm scones - jam - clotted cream and a pot of tea. My husband had the chocolate cream tea which replaced the jam with nutella. Perfect for him! Loved the eclectic mix of tea pots and cups. And there were... More

Probably the tiniest cafe I've been in, and easily the best. As a family we love to visit cafes and nickname it the TeaRoomTour, we like homemade food, family friendly places all for a good price. Now I'd already read the reviews and so had high expectations. From first sight I loved the place. Its quirky, homely, small but perfectly... More

Best full English I have eaten out. I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to life buoy cafe. On a wet day we popped into and got a seat. Previous reviews have mentioned it is a tight fit, this is obvious from sticking your head in, so accept it because the food is worth it. The staff are polite and friendly. I... More

Basic cafe with good basic food, very little space between tables so it can feel very overcrowded. Good for breakfast and small snacks

My son and daughter in law to me there as it is one of their favourite eating places and I soon saw why. Food is beautifully cooked to order, generous quantity and "to die for" Worth the visit to Fowey on its own.
