My son and daughter in law to me there as it is one of their favourite eating places and I soon saw why. Food is beautifully cooked to order, generous quantity and "to die for" Worth the visit to Fowey on its own.

This cafe offers old world charm with great food and drink at affordable prices. The decor took me and my friend back to our childhood with the provision of games, toys, books etc, we had great scones and coffee whilst enjoying 3 games of dominoes!!

We took refuge here from the rain and had a very nice lunch. There is a good vegetarian choice and I thought the savory cheese scones were excellent. Nice touches include the old school chairs with books in the back and a game of connect 4 on the table! Recommended.

Cathy's cafe is one of the key ingredients to making Fowey such a fabulous place. Another Lifebuoy breakfast please. Love it x

I wouldn't come to Fowey without visiting this lovely, quirky café. Food always excellent - delicious and good value too. The kids love the retro toys, which we adults love reminiscing about! I would recommend the savoury Cornish tea (I think that's what is was called) - 2 lovely cheese scones served with local cheese, chutney and salad...not the cheapest... More

A cosy little place with wonderful retro signs about the place! Tea served in proper china cups. The only down side was no toilets on the premises.

Breakfast at the Lifebuoy was fantastic. Friendly and helpful staff in pleasant surroundings. Space is at a premium as it is only a small cafe but quality and quantity is good at a fair price.

Visiting Fowey on our final day of our 2 week holiday, we caught the bus down to the village and I spotted this café just as you are coming in. We walked back from the church bus stop and popped in and was made very welcome straight away. My son is 10 and has autism so sometimes we need things... More

We visited because of the reviews - big mistake. I wanted a cream tea but with a bottle of water and not a pot of tea (both the same price) - I was told this was not possible and would have to pay extra for the water. My partner agreed to have the pot of tea so I got my... More

This is a small and rather quirky cafe (not quite as quirky possibly as Pinky Murphy's). Seating is indoor and the music was nice for a sunny Sunday morning. Service was friendly and the breakfasts were ample and filling and the food is locally sourced (Fried egg beans sausage 2 rashers of bacon and 2 slices of hogs pudding served... More
