Best coffee in Fowey

Tiny café, but the food looked good and fresh. We bought takeaway coffees to drink down at the quay, excellent taste and the best coffee in Fowey!

This is such a good place. It's one of the best in Fowey. The food is really good including home made cakes that are delicious. It's cosy, friendly and very pretty. We loved it! Well done Lifebuoy Cafe!

I have been meaning to have breakfast here for years and never got around to it ... until now. Full breakfast was £5.95 including filter coffee (not great wish i had upgraded to espresso ) and toast. One delicious sausage, egg, lovely bacon, baked beans and mushrooms. it was tasty. Very nice friendly environment with nice table arrangement and lots... More

Lovely little cafe with a great atmosphere and yummy food - a local business well worth supporting. The crab sandwiches are superb washed down with a large mug of tea

The Lifebuoy Cafe is only tiny, but for a place to grab a quick bite of lunch in Fowey it's highly recommended. They have a decent selection of uncomplicated food, made from locally sourced produce, the quality of which is very high. There's also always a great welcome, and the service is excellent.

This place was excellent. I came here for breakfast with my girlfriend and her family and it felt like I was eating in a friend's kitchen. The staff is really friendly, the food tastes delicious, and the place has an overall comfortable atmosphere to it. The cappuccino is great, and I definitely recommend their English Breakfast. Those mushrooms were superb!... More

Two of us had the fish finger sandwiches and didn't find out until we read the prologue in the menu afterwards that we'd eaten Ling. Will try anything once. Mine was OK, had the texture of chicken but my partners was akin to chewing the fat on a steak. Add in a pot of tea for two and you'll come... More

A very quirky little cafe and yummy cream tea! The only down side was the tables where a little bit too squished together! Would definitely visit again and if you have children they have books & games too entertain them.

What's not to like? We tried a few places during our trip to Fowey and went back to this place a couple of times. The coffee (espresso) was the best we had in Fowey but we had pretty grim stuff elsewhere to be honest. The food was good too and the ladies that run the place very friendly. Definitely to... More

I visited the Lifebuoy Cafe today on a daytrip to Fowey. I was seated in the window, so I could watch the world go by and write my travel journal. The girls who were serving were really friendly and I had the best crab cakes I'd ever tasted, served with sautéed potatoes, a delicious fresh salad and sweet chilli sauce.... More
