We really enjoyed it here. A seasonal menu, well prepared food, attentive but unobtrusive service, good value and well priced wine list. What's not to like? I really recommend this place.

For whatever reason, I had not eaten at the Bistro before this year. I had heard good reviews from varied sources. And they were spot on. Delightful food combinations, decent portions and served by friendly staff. The ambience is comfortable, and not too crowded. I returned a few weeks later, and again had an excellent meal. It is definitely on... More

One problem with visiting seaside towns is the sense that travelers are here for the scenery and the outdoor activities, and the food is just about sustenance. Not so at this restaurant. We only had lunch here one day as that was what our timetable would permit, but it was the best meal we had in Fowey. By far. It... More

Yet again I got the wow factor when I started to eat. Unhurried service, great presentation, fabulous food that was a feast for the eyes as well as the tongue. I wondered if the marriage of black pudding and scallops would be happy, and boy did it work for me. The main of cod was equally delicious. My only regret... More

Good food with attentive service. Had a quiet lunch with wife. Like one of the other reviewers, we had the charcuterie board and loved it. Spot on in variety and portion size. Good bread and waiter happily brought more and some salad dressing on request. We loved the chutney and were rewarded with a pot to take home. Atmosphere HDR... More

We enjoyed a lovely lunch here with fresh fish and a delicious creme brûlée. Wine was also very good. Just a pity there isn't still a lunchtime special menu as there was last year, although there certainly are cheaper lunchtime options of snacks and sandwiches which looked very good. The decor is very tasteful and staff well trained. Being situated... More

We went to the Bistro in Regatta week, and was pleasantly relieved to be placed on the top floor away from the crowds for a while, we got a great view of the procession going under the window without being in the thick of it. The food was excellent quality and taste as was all the drinks, the young waitress... More

Always busy always fresh, excellent menu choice could happily go back. Just love fresh fish. Always happy to wait for a table because the wait is worth it

I can highly recommend The Bistro. We called in without a booking and even though the restaurant was busy they managed to accommodate us. The waitress who served us was excellent too, good service and very friendly. The food was wonderful and we had a good meal and relaxing evening.
