Five of us ate here based on Trip Advisor ratings. Wasn't let down. Good food, good service and a great atmosphere. Would certainly go again next time we visit Fowey

Enjoyed a lovely meal at The Bistro, Fowey. The restaurant is nicely decorated and yet the prices are quite reasonable. Fresh local seafood, as well as many other meal options, all attractively presented. My favourite was the mussels marinière. A very pleasant night out.

We loved this place. Service was fantastic, food was absolutely as it should be: unfussy, rich, delicious and nicely executed, across all six dishes we had between us. My silver mullet main with scallops and an amazing cream sauce was particularly excellent. And for what I was, I thought it was incredibly cheap. They had a nice Banyuls on the... More

Really enjoyed the food at The Bistro, it was so good we ate there twice. All fresh ingredients, beautifully presented by friendly unassuming staff. Can't recommend it enough. Would definitely go again if we find ourselves back in lovely Fowey for a holiday.

Ate at The Bistro as a couple early evening in June. There were tables available at 6:30pm when we arrived but it filled up as the evening went on and if we had arrived later we would have needed a booking. It is a relatively small place and the surroundings are plain but pleasant. The starters were very good -... More

We dined twice at The Bistro during our weeks stay at Fowey. On both occasions we had to book because the restaurant is in such demand. We tried fish and meat meals; all were excellent and reasonably priced. The service was very friendly and efficient. Wished the restaurant was close to where we live.

The ferry from Mevagissey takes one on a lovely journey of about 40 minutes, to the village of Fowey. A lovely little place! Sam's Bistro which is one shop down from The Bistro was the one we chose as it looked more relaxed and had a great menu outside. Sam's Bistro is not yet up on Trip Adviser. Goods service... More

Booked dinner here and had a perfectly pleasant meal. Pleasant welcome on arrival and given a window table as requested. Not too crowded (unlike Sam's) but good atmosphere. A nice menu with bistro favourites. A good and sensibly priced wine list. Twice baked cheese soufflé was divine as were the muscles. Pizza (American - stone baked) was disappointing and rather... Had a fabulous meal this evening at The Bistro, we hadn't pre-booked & although the restaurant was busy staff arranged a table within half an hour allowing us to got off for a drink - as there were 4 of us dining we had a selection of starters including scallops, charcuterie board & sardines all were excellent. 3/4 diners had...
