Having walked past this place many times before and hearing good things about it, me and my partner decided to give it a try - we were not disappointed. The food was exquisite, the staff were friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was great. Highly recommend to anyone who appreciates great food that doesn't break the budget! Also i recommend... We had to pre-book to avoid disappointment. The Bistro is in the main centre of Fowey and is nicely presented. Seating inside is good, not too closely placed and a couple of small tables to have your liquers or a coffee and people watch at the front on the street side. Good menu selection and the Sunday roast of Beef... More

We booked a table at The Bistro for Sunday roast for our last day in Fowey during a recent stay. The specials board had set the expectation that the roast on offer was Rib of beef which suited us just fine. When we arrived the owner was very friendly and jovial without being over bearing. We were seen to our... More

We have just had the most wonderful Sunday Lunch at the Bistro. There was roast pork, giant Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes and eight different vegetables, including the best red cabbage we have ever eaten, together with sage-infused gravy. The portions are enormous! The quality is unsurpassed and I was able to eat more lunch than usual, I couldn't resist it,... More

Just got home from an ansome Sunday roast at The Bistro in Fowey. Was probably the best roast pork I've had in many a year, the starter was very tasty and the creme brûlée was amazing !! Lovely setting, good atmosphere and very friendly service all round. A good value for money lunch menu that would cater for anyone's tastes... More

The Bistro gets very busy so try and book if you want a table in the evening. The staff are very friendly, efficient and helpful. We both had a starter, fried calamari with a cold noodle salad, and scallops with small balls of black pudding - which I don't normally like but this had been sort of moussed up so... More

Turned up without a booking and though busy we got table straight away. Excellent food friendly staff and great relaxed atmosphere. Not a large restaurant so may be worth booking in busy summer periods

I booked a table for four at this restaurant on Sat am to reserve 4 places for dinner at 7.0pm. We arrived at the appointed hour to be seated at table. minutes later we were informed no reservation had been received and we could not be accommodated. This was done by the new patroness in a rude and abrasive manner... More

Came here for lunch, and was not disappointed. Although some reviews talk about the fish, we actually tried the other dishes and the food was beautifully prepared and tasted wonderful. The starters of bourbon cured salmon, or the twice smoked cheese soufflé were delicious, and the main of crisp gnocchi with mushroom and sage in a truffle butter sauce was... More
