My husband and I ate here after the great north run which also happened to be the day of our wedding anniversary. We wanted a special meal and it didn't disappoint. We were met by the friendliest if staff, who seated us in the reception where we ordered a bottle of fizz, we weren't rushed despite us being the last... More

food is astoundingly good, decor is contemporary but very much in keeping with the building. the conservatory has views to die for, altogether with the gorgeous grounds there is nothing to dislike about Eslington Villa.

We visited on a Wednesday lunchtime to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary, taking our 6 day old baby with us. This was our first outing with baby so we were a little unsure of how things would go. Our server (think his name was Tony) could not have been more accommodating putting us instantly at ease. The food was very good... More

We had a family dinner here to celebrate our parents 50th wedding anniversary. Food was delicious and very attractively presented. Portions are fairly small, and I would recommend ordering side dishes to accompany main course. Puddings were excellent! Staff are extremely attentive and eager to help. The actual restaurant and lounge are beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. I will definitely... More

Dined in our favourite local restaurant to celebrate our 30th Anniversary. We had an excellent meal, with the usual exceptional service. Well recommend he 28 day cured sirloin Steak + the Cheesecake with clotted cream ice cream. Well done to all the staff at Eslington Villa we will be back soon.

*****Cant seem to rate this as a restaurant - did not stay there but service, food and ambiance all would have got 5 stars. Not expensive and excellent value.***** We had not been back here for some time as the food and ambiance was getting very staid and uninspiring. The new owners seem to have brightened the whole place up... More

Thanks for the fantastic review it's really appreciated. It was posted to the hotel site but as you can see has been moved to the correct one now. I'm pleased you enjoyed your meal and thought it very good value for money. Just a minor point there are no new owners just the very old ones who have been here... More

An anniversary meal for two which was brilliant. From the warm welcome as we walked in, to the goodbye at the end, everything was faultless. Colin who has been there for ever! settled us in with menus and drinks and a friendly chat. The maître de persuaded me to have oysters for the first time which was a great choice... More

A family group of six adults, we very recently enjoyed a Sunday lunch at Eslington Villa. Parking outside the main entrance was a little tight, but there is a second, overflow car park available. On entering the restaurant it was clear that this was going to be something special as we were greeted by a friendly member of staff and... More

Another fabulous lunch at my favourite restaurant. As the menu changes every month we never get bored. Food was exemplary and so well presented. Staff were most pleasant and attentive without being intrusive. Already planning to go back in September.

Over the last 6 motnhs or so, we've seen changes at Eslington Villas and a new fresh, inexpensive menu. I think some still feel it is a "bit posh" for a quick meal, but even mid-week, their 2 courses for £22 is good value for money, bearing in mind the excellent quality of food. Restaurant and surrounding grounds are lovely... More

Thanks for taking the time to post a review and your kind comments. We like to think we are good value for money considering not just the quality of food and service but also the surroundings. We also have an Early Bird option each evening now at £13.95 for 2 courses and £16.95 for 3 that is certainly worth trying. More
