Hadn't been to this restaurant for a few years but visited a few weeks ago for Sunday lunch.Food was delicious and good size portions with plenty meat and lots of gravy. Went back again today and although it was somewhat busier being Father's Day the food was just as good. With friendly pleasant... read more

After reading great reviews and getting a recommendation we decided to try here Sunday early evening so wasn't very busy we ordered chicken satay which was very sweet more sweet chili than peanut, garlic mushrooms with Stilton and I think they forgot the Stilton. Hubby had lamb chops served on a mountain of mash with mint gravy which was ok,the gravy... More

BOOKED THIS PLACE FOR MY SISTERS BIRTHDAY , EVENING MEAL ...... PARTY OF 7 , May 5th 2015. It was very quiet only a couple of tables occupied , so no atmosphere at all. Despite the low numbers we waited a fair while for service and food. The menu boards looked promising , if not i bit over complicated ,... More

went for meal on a spur of the minute decision. Not disappointed. Delicious meal - massive portion and served with a smile. Great value too. Will be back again when the idea of cooking a meal is just to much effort.

I was a bit apprehensive about going for a meal at 8 o'clock on a Saturday night without a reservation but I need not have worried as we got a table for four no bother. It is the first time we have eaten here considering we only live 2 miles away. There are no menus on the table only blackboards,my wife thought... Myself and my family have been coming to the Bowes Incline for years and it's yet to let me down! The food board has so many choices; there really is something for everyone. I've noticed they have a lunchtime menu too, with salads and sandwiches if you're looking for something less heavy. Portions are HUGE! You'll be lucky to manage... More

Visited late on a Sunday evening, the menu is varied with a huge variety but a little on the expensive side. All of the staff were pleasant enough when ordering at the bar and our food arrived quickly. The portions were huge! I'm a big eater and I couldn't finish my own! Worth a visit..

Been here a lot over the years and tried quite a bit of the extensive menu. Large portions so consider when ordering more than one course. This time I had the messes in Thai broth to start and couldn't get over the portion size. Delicious. Then I had another starter, the haggis and black pudding tower in pepper sauce with... More

Four of us visited here for an evening meal, we ordered a bottle of sauvignon which was very nice, shandy and a pint of beer. We went straight for the mains, fish and chips, mushy peas, good portion and tasted lovely, lamb chops with mash and veg, on satisfactory. Husband had chicken tikka with rice, naan bread and a side... More
