A beautiful evening for our 5th Wedding Anniversary 😀

My wife and I went to Six as a slightly delayed anniversary meal. The welcome on arrival was very warm and inviting. We were quickly shown to our table and the waiter serving us was up beat and very welcoming. The food and drinks arrived very quickly and the quality was superb. I've got to say that... read more

The place has come down in prices and, to some extent, in class, from its old incarnation as Baltic Restaurant. But the building and the views, which were always the main attraction, have not changed. And it is now fuller than ever before, so the place seems to be viable in a way its predecessor clearly was not. I've been... More

Whilst the views from the restaurant of the Newcastle Quayside are excellent, the simple fact is you come here to eat. The food quality is not good enough. The price you pay is the same, if not more than a number of other top restaurants in the Newcastle area, but the food quality is a long way off in comparison.... More

We had a very nice meal with excellent service. We found it to be good value, and I defy you to come up with a better cityscape.

Went as a group of seven for lunch. Extensive a la carte menu plus a good fixed price lunchtime menu of two or three courses - the latter had a good range of choices without having to stray into the a la carte. The food lived up to expectations; no grumbles from any of our group. Good service. And you... More

The location of the restaurant is perfect and the views are the best on the quayside. The restaurant itself could be so much better. When I entered it reminded me of a school dining hall, the way the tables were laid out. The food itself was small portions and really average. Typical of overpriced British restaurants. The presentation was good,... More

This was the second time I had visited 6 for lunch and both visits have been most enjoyable - the food and the views are excellent and good value for money.

Food was amazing, well worth the money I ordered 3 courses for £20, the food was rich, moist and beautifully cooked. Good ambience in the restaurant, felt relaxed

Last Friday I visited Six restaurant & enjoyed an aperitif in the Bar first which has an amazing view of the city. The young girl who served us drinks was rather slow & lacked confidence & knowledge , unlike all the other staff who were efficient , friendly & confident. The menu was varied & the food was well presented... More

returning to my hometown for a weekend visit with a friend I wanted to show her the fabulous quayside so I decided to take her for a glass of champagne and a coffee with a view which is why I chose Six. We were greeted at the downstairs reception and asked if we were looking for the restaurant and directed... More
