A special place to have a meal.

My husband and I had lunch at Six, it was to celebrate a special birthday for me. I have been to this restaurant on several occasions and have always been impressed. On this occasion, as usual the staff and food were of a high standard. We had a very enjoyable meal, sadly the view wasn't so good... read more

Myself and the wife attended here for her birthday after reading the reviews on TripAdvisor. The location, restaurant, atmosphere and staff were excellent the food however me and the wife thought was average. My starter which was the crab Benedict was not very tasty and my wife's scallops were over cooked. My main course of monkfish and the wife's rib... More

We had an excellent meal at Six, based in the Baltic art gallery. The views from the restaurant, especially if you're lucky enough to get a window seat by the river (which we didn't this time, but have in the past) are amazing, the service attentive and the food was at it's usual high standard. I would recommend this if... More

Excellent courgette soup. Perfect bream. Decent Wylam tipples. Staff battled back from a hectic start to the eve which caused a one hour wait for starters. Almost ate the slate on which the bread was served to combat hunger pangs. Sadly got the seats facing the Gateshead natives. Thankfully no visible histrionics from the residents over the road. Good stuff... More

Fantastic 3 courses and cocktails, partner was very happy with this choice of venue for birthday dinner - they even met her request for a fruitier mojito! Would recommend for a special occasion - we were more than satisfied with the dishes on offer. My only criticism is that the portions were a tad smaller than expected but tasted great

I'd been wanting to try Six for a while as I'm a huge fan of Baltic. Went for a lunch, I was welcomed straight away and taken to a table, we were served complimentary bread and butter which was very nice. For lunch it's 2 or 3 course specials (as well as the usual menu) I had the 2 course... More

It had been years since I had visited the restaurant located on the top of the old Baltic Flour Mill, now a landmark Art Gallery on the Gateshead bank of the Tyne. I wondered whether the new owners would live up to the previous ones, the McCoy brothers of Cleveland Tontine fame. I was not disappointed. The food was great,... More

Our weekend got off to a brilliant star with early evening meal at Six Batic. Efficient, friendly service and excellent food at a reasonable price. I can highly recommend it.
