The Tollemache Arms is situated 4 miles off the A1 in the beautiful village of Buckminster, between Colsterworth and Melton Mowbray on the B676.The bar is open to everyone, their muddy feet and their dogs! Tasty bar nibbles such as home roasted mixed nuts, olives, pickled eggs and much more are prepared by the Chef and a selection of draught beers and local ales are changed regularly - all to be enjoyed in front of a cosy fire during the cold winter months! A perfect stop just off the A1(M)

We were travelling from Glasgow back to Essex and so we looked for somewhere to stop for dinner. A great find! Beautiful home cooked food, attentive staff and the warm bread rolls were a good start after a long drive! Would strongly recommend.

I was passing by here so thought I check this restaurant out for its great reviews. It was packed on a Sunday! The menu on a Sunday doesn't have much to offer so I'm kind of force to order the roast. The beef was good but I thought the proportion of the meat was a bit small. The dessert was... More

This is a gem of a pub, in a very secluded location well known to locals but a discovery for tourists like us. Friends who live locally took us here and they did us a favour. The food is excellent, reasonably priced, well cooked and well presented. Very good local Ales and an excellent wine list.

We stopped for lunch whilst cycling around Leicestershire and had what can only be described as the best burgers we have ever tasted! I am looking forward to a further visit and would recommend this pub without reservation.

Firstly, I do not know the owners (unlike dubious reviews of some restaurants) , I am however a complete foodie and amateur chef. This was my first visit to the Tollemache, after reading several reviews on here - surely it couldn't be that good, could it? Wow, this is exactly what a country pub should be, warm, inviting, great ales... More

Well to start with I really didn't know what to choose. I opted for the Wild mushroom Pasta which was amazing!!. Steve had Fish and Chips which was good too. Puddings were wonderful. I had Forest fruit roulade and Steve had Baileys cheesecake, both scrummy:). Service was delightful and plenty of smiles. Lovely atmosphere. Will recommend to all and return... More

Popped in by chance whilst passing on a Saturday afternoon having never visited before or read any review. Looked very inviting from the outside - a typical country pub/restaurant that I expected to be a cut above the chain establishments - we weren't disappointed!! The place looks and feels like it may have been refurbished recently, but anyhow still retains... More

Absolutely fantastic! I visited with my family for an evening meal, we were welcomed in the bar by the manageress and then escorted to a table in the restaurant. The waitress was attentive, polite and friendly! We each had a main and dessert, which were to die for! The mains were filling, and well portioned for a great price too!... More

It's a real shame, that a beautiful building with heritage can be reduced to an Urban bistro, the interior is totally out of keeping with the exterior. The welcome is lack lustre at best. The food was average and overpriced.

Visited this lovely pub restaurant with another couple for dinner on a Friday evening, the restaurant and bar were comfortably busy, promoting a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Upon seating, homemade bread was offered, which was absolutely delicious. As a table we ordered a variety of dishes both from the Al A Carte and Bar menus, all arrived well presented, and... More
