The Tollemache Arms is situated 4 miles off the A1 in the beautiful village of Buckminster, between Colsterworth and Melton Mowbray on the B676.The bar is open to everyone, their muddy feet and their dogs! Tasty bar nibbles such as home roasted mixed nuts, olives, pickled eggs and much more are prepared by the Chef and a selection of draught beers and local ales are changed regularly - all to be enjoyed in front of a cosy fire during the cold winter months! The dining room offers intimacy and the menu offers pub classics or sandwiches at lunchtime as well as bar snacks and other dishes to push your palate. The library is ideal for coffee mornings, meetings and an area for the children, with toys available. It is also popular during the evenings for pre-dinner/party drinks and after dinner coffees. We have a large garden with plenty of space for eating outside and can cater for private parties, weddings, christenings or any other events, either within the pub or in a marquee outside in the garden. The Tollemache Arms offers a relaxed, cosy atmosphere with friendly chat and we look forward to welcoming you on your visit.

First time visit here and it was fab, lovely food. The steak was cooked to perfection and the duck wonton's were better than any other Chinese I've been to. The service was excellent, nothing was to much trouble. Highly recommend it!!!

I visited one quiet Wednesday evening and really enjoyed whitebait for a starter and scampi and chips for my main course. And I really like their trio of beers offering - one third pints of the three hand pulled CAMRA beers on show. For the three of us including tip the bill came to just over £60.

There are many excellent pubs in this part of the country, and the Tollemache Arms is certainly one of them. The 'choice of three roasts' Sunday lunch was good, and the starters and desserts were excellent. Where the Tollemache Arms really stands out above its local rivals is in the warmth of reception. Arriving as a party of eight drenched... More

I booked this venue for a family lunch for our little boy's first birthday on the strength of TripAdvisor reviews. It is a handy location between where our family live, split between Nottingham and Peterborough. I can't thank the venue enough for a fantastic day - unrequested we were given the library area of the restaurant which amounted to private... More

Yesterday i took my daughter her partner and my 20 day old grandson out for lunch at the Tollemache Arms, the first outing for mother and son. We had a nice meal and i went to the ladies room looking for changing facilities, I noticed a changing mat on the floor leaning against the wall. On returning to the bar... More

Thank you for your recent review on Trip Advisor. As an old 19th-century building we are limited by the available space in respect of baby changing facilities and this precludes a baby changing table. We do however provide a baby changing mat, sanitiser, etc. Some other similar type and size establishments actually provide no baby changing facilities at all! We... More

Called into the tollemache following a trip to derby, food was to the usual high standard and the drinks are reasonably priced. On this visit they were offering a main and dessert combo for a set price which included some premium main meals at a slight extra supplement, little disappointing it didn't include all of the main menu - even... Me and my partner both had the Duo Lamb and it was absolutely delicious. The staff were really nice and it was in a beautiful building. I would definitely recommend it and will be back when I'm next in the area!
