We stopped here on a whim for something to eat and had a great experience. As we entered the restaurant we were greeted with big friendly smiles and told to sit where ever we liked. The waitress was very efficient and took our order after allowing just the right amount of time to choose from the very extensive menu. The... More

Decided to go after being told how great this place was to eat. Far too many tables, felt squashed in and uncomfortable. Food was average, wouldn't go again

Called on way back from coastal holiday . Better than a service station! Only had tea cakes and drinks for six and saw little change from £20!! At least space for children to play and stretch legs on a long journey!

I've not done PYO there for many years - I would imagine that is excellent too. The shop is nice, they have a good range of local quality produce available and its always fresh in my experience. You pay that bit more, but then you would expect to. The restaurant is the best in the area for lunch in my... More

Myself and a group of friends and their kids went fruit picking on Sunday, just as the rain had stopped for the day. It's not the first time I've been. You can easily find what fields to pick and what's the best spot to pick within that field. We picked strawberries, raspberries and redcurrants. Others picked blackberries and there are... More

Freshly prepared food, much of it sourced locally. Their cakes are to die for! The lunch menu is small but there is a specials board. The portions are generous. Would certainly go again.

My friend and I visited a cold and miserable day, but the light interior of the cafe was a real mood lifter. We didn't have to wait long to be served. There was a small menu but it was very difficult to choose as everything sounded so good! Had to refrain from any dessert. Our meal took a little while... More

Enjoyed delicious freshly baked scones, served warm with jam and cream. Unfortunately the service was not so good. After waiting 15-20 minutes, I had to go up to the counter, wait for a private conversation between the staff to finish before explaining we had been waiting and could we be served. Not even an apology - shame.
