Family lunch

Busy Sunday lunchtime, but we were seated within minutes by friendly cheerful staff. A nice range of food on the menu and all 4 of us ordered different dishes and we're all happy with our lunch. Great cakes too. The downsides were toilets which could be cleaner and separate sex toilets would... read more

We went for breakfast every thing fresh and locally sourced. Called in again another day for coffee and what others were eating looked very appetising. It is worth a visit I recommend it you won't be disappointed.

A party of 18 Saturday volunteers from nearby Belton House enjoyed yet another great meal and it was very reasonably priced. I enjoyed a large freshly cooked home made frittata with a side salad followed by home made Bakewell pudding in a lemon sauce and coffee for afters. the serving staff were also very attentive. Highly recommended ( this is... More

We have visited this area for a week for the past 12 years and mainly eat here for lunch or breakfast every day. The food is excellent and we have always found the staff very pleasant. The food is home cooked, the portions are large and it is great value. It does get busy sometimes so you may have to... More

We called in for the first time in several years for a coffee and a cake after visiting the garden centre at Belton. We were very impressed with cafe facilities themselves, but we did wait slightly longer than expected although they were very busy. The staff were very helpful and friendly and when looking at the menu and choice of... More

Visited today for the first time with husband and 3 children. On arrival it was naturally busy and there were no tables for 5. However we were told one would be free shortly and we were asked to wait. 25 minutes later we were still waiting despite 4 tables to accommodate us having become free and no incentive for staff... We stopped here on a whim for something to eat and had a great experience. As we entered the restaurant we were greeted with big friendly smiles and told to sit where ever we liked. The waitress was very efficient and took our order after allowing just the right amount of time to choose from the very extensive menu. The... More
