Not that we often stopped in recent times at the convenient Ram Jam Inn, it had gone downhill steeply, asince the days of 'bin end' half bottles from Hambleton Hall. But thanks to a very inconvenient A1 diversion, we stumbled upon 'The Gregory' (fortunately on a night without live music!). The menu is burgers, ribs, fish and chips and an... More

We were looking for a venue that served a roast in the evening and The Gregory was able to meet that requirement. I only had a main course, the beef with vegetables and a Yorkshire pudding, which was a good sized serve. My friend enjoyed his roast chicken, and had the carrot and coriander soup as a starter as well.... More

I came here in July for my Auntie's 80th birthday along with some of my family. It looks nice inside as they have painted it nice shades of Farrow & Ball green and grey and there is a brick fireplace in the middle. When we were seated, there were nice sundried tomato rolls so we had one each. When we... More

Two of us ate here on a Tuesday evening in July. The welcome and service - from a young man and a young woman - were exceptionally warm and attentive. We shared the rib of beef for two, which was beautifully cooked, exactly as ordered, and of good texture and flavour; accompanying vegetables and an extra green salad were served... More

Visited on a Thursday night - hadn't booked and didn't realise it was steak night (which gets busy - the restaurant was fully booked) but was still found a table at the bar which we really appreciated. We had warm bread and a balsamic dip to start which was really nice. My wife had the rack of ribs with BBQ... More

Three of us came to the Gregory Arms on a hot Friday in June for Dinner. The Dining room was attractive and the young waiting staff attentive. Our meals arrived as ordered and we were all pleased. My only criticism was that my Vanilla Panacotta was too solid but I should be very happy to visit again.

We stopped at The Gregory for Sunday lunch while on the way to a family christening. Even though we did not have a reservation we were greeted warmly and a nice table for two was found for us. All the staff we encountered were very well spoken and pleasant. The food isn't cheap but we found it to be excellent... More

I ate here with my parents and 5 month old. The service was friendly, and the place was lovely and charming! I ordered the pie of the day, a ham and mustard, and it was so delicious! I was at first unsure if I was being too adventurous with this choice, but I was happily surprised. The food was quick... More

Group of 9 .... The Greg had bee recommended and it proved to be a great choice. The staff, whilst young, were attentive, polite and friendly. The food was excellent...perfect portion sizes & as a vegetarian I was pleased to have a good, if somewhat limited, choice of options. The risotto starter tasted fresh and creamy, the vegetable tart was... More

£25 for 2 steaks & a carafe of wine...Good pricing, but the bill totted up quickly when you added the sauces, mushrooms & onion rings...Still very good value though, as the steaks were excellent, done just how we like them. Service was spot on, with very helpful staff. we will definitely return.
