Popped in for a coffee and a scone while touring

A modern and very busy café, but there was plenty staff and they were friendly and helpful. One negative the mugs of coffee are big.

My wife and I take my 93-year-old mother-in-law to McLean's most Wednesdays because she is a resident in a local care home. I almost don't want to write this review because this week there was ONLY ONE TABLE left and I don't want too many new customers to find this great place! (Only jokin') The location is great and parking... More

We had a tasty filling lunch at very reasonable price. Lots of locals eating here, always a good sign. Don't forget to buy your Macleans shortbread. Most delicious.

Very accommodating coffee shop. Turned up after a wet and muddy bike ride, thinking I would have to get a takeaway. However the staff were very pleasant insisting it was fine to sit in as they could just wipe the chairs. It was greatly appreciated and I will definitely return.

We had a number of lunchtime snacks in the cafe and the food was excellent and very good value. Would be very happy to live close enough to buy all of our bread, pies and cakes here.

I have lost count the number of times I have visited this place and it just gets better. Such friendly staff, treated like old friends not just customers and the price is so reasonable. The service is quick and the food is superb, my personal favourite is the coronation chicken pannini, which is a delight, always packed full of chicken... More

After a long walk in the countryside, we had coffees and delicious cakes in the cafe. It was busy but the service was friendly and quick. The seated area is very comfortable and clean. Having a cafe attached to a good bakery is generally a sign that one can expect enjoyable food and we were not disappointed.

Thoroughly enjoyed several visits to this excellent cafe whilst staying at the nearby caravan park, as the coffee/hot chocolate were particularly good as were the scones and breakfast options. We bought filled rolls for the journey home and brought back one of their delicious loaves with us... a compliment indeed as I normally make all my own bread. Cheerful, smart... More

Visited a couple of times, for a coffee and a lunch. Staff were friendly and welcoming and served our order quickly without making us feel rushed. Although it was busy we weren't made to feel em needed to finish up and leave. Reasonably priced. Good sized portions. Clean and tidy.

Lots of tasty pies and sandwiches to eat in or like us, take away for a picnic. We return time after time for a snack to take with us for a walk or when we go bird watching in Anagagh woods just down the road.
