Good hearty food; particularly good breakfast

Nice house wine, good choice on the menu, friendly staff. Perhaps a better choice of fish on the menu would have been appreciated by non-meat eaters, especially as The Spey Valley is a great fishing area. More game on the menu would be a good idea for the same reason

We called here earlier this week whilst passing through this town on a driving tour round the area. By-the-way, the town is dying with a large number of shops boarded up, especially at the other end of the main street. This is a lovely small hotel at the other end of the main street from the car park which we... More

I have eaten here several times with friends and as a couple. All food has been very good quality and cooked very nicely with no complaints on the service either. But, PLASTIC WATER JUGS this spoils the whole ambiance of a evening meal for both myself and my friends. The outside area next to front entrance seems to be occupied... More

Dropped into the Garth restaurant one lunch time for a change of scenery, with the hope of finding something a little different for a snack. We certainly did...you could have soup and half a sandwich and the half sandwich was more like a whole one,but very good as was the soup.At another place I had asked for a half sandwich and was... Good value 2 or 3 course menu gave ample choice for the 3 generations in our party. We hadn't pre-booked and a table was found for us. Very thoughtful staff didn't hurry the slowest, and there was a gluten free option. The portion were large, we came away with 'doggy bag' for later. Obviously popular with local people too.

You won't find a more friendly welcome than from the staff at the Garth Hotel. Nothing is too much trouble and the homemade biscuits are delightful! Many thanks for letting me share you Will-Fi!

We called in to the restaurant at about 6:30 pm and, although we had not pre-booked, we were seated within 5 minutes. The restaurant was very busy but the staff made us feel most welcome. The food was delicious and I had the haggis, neeps and tatties - my very favourite. I was very impressed with how quickly the staff... More
