Recommended by our B&B, this restaurant delivered delicious meals, promptly served by a gentleman who knew his menu. Our family's food allergies were not a problem, the food was delicious and the beer cold.

Fantastic Indian food! The owner was genuinely passionate about his restaurant, the food was fabulous, and they carried Indian beer.

I visited Sylhet with my daughter opn a recent trip to Scotland. As we live in Manchester and regular visitors to the many many Indian restaurants we were expecting an average meal at the Sylhet being the only Indian restaurant in the area. Our experience was the opposite - the food was excellent, I particularly loved the Goan Lamb Shank.... More

We were staying in Grantown on Spey for a few days and chose the Sylhet Brasserie for an evening meal after reading reviews on TA. We arrived about 7pm on a Wednesday evening - the restaurant wasn't very busy and we got a table easily. We were greeted and our orders taken promptly by friendly staff. We were so busy... More

My husband and I went here for dinner and really enjoyed our food. We eat out a lot and were disappointed with the arrogant and condescending attitude the waiters had. The food however was very tasty and hats off to the kitchen staff. We won't be returning unless it's for take away!

We have been customers of The Sylhet Brasserie for many years and the food is probably the best Indian cuisine around! Staff are simply amazing with always a warm welcome and smiley faces. The whole atmosphere is relaxed and you feel part of the Family. The quality of the food is of a high standard and the menu has a... More

A super restaurant, tasteful decor, welcoming staff, great customer service and a fabulous menu. Dishes are well presented, excellent portion sizes, very flavoursome and a range to suit every palate. It's a licensed establishment with a good choice of beers, wines and soft drinks all reasonably priced. Great for intimate occasions and perfect for get-togethers. Highly recommended!

Went in here on a Sunday night, restaurant was empty. Eventually the sole waiter took a drinks order and offered me a Thai menu as well as an Indian one. When I asked for a Thai salad, I was told that they'd run out which frankly is impossible to believe. I went back to Indian and ordered a lamb starter... More

My wife & I arrived just after opening on Saturday evening. Predictably we were the first sit-in customers, but we were also the only sit-in customers when we left an hour and a half later! The atmosphere was dominated by a constant flow of take-away customers and the phone ringing with take-away orders. The only relief from the take-away noise... More
