Popped in due to poor weather and didn't expect much. As per other reviews it is basic. So what. It was very clean and had a good choice of beer at decent prices. Owner was behind the bar and couldn't have been nicer. Had good long chat over a couple of well pulled beers. This is a proper pub where... More

We were a party of 11 and just popped in for a drink. Impressed with the 3 Local ales and cider which was on offer. We also had some 'snack food' sandwich's, chips etc. All were very good and a good value. The landlord and wife were very friendly. The decor might put some people off, but the beer and... More

I have just returned from a visit to Great Yarmouth and stumbled across this pub pretty much by accident. It is a quaint little place with quite a lot of character about it. The landlord makes you feel very welcome upon entering and by the time you leave it feels like you have known him for years. The background music... More

Visited here for a quick drink on a Saturday afternoon. The pub has a brilliant location and the tables in their front garden are great for when the sun is shining. We waited a long time for a coffee we had ordered, and had to remind the lady working behind the bar, as she had forgotten to make it. The... More

Stopped in to get some lunch. The place was very quiet, felt a little uncomfortable. Some bizarre man took our sandwich order (nothing else on the 1970s menu appealed to us, so sandwiches it was!). No offer of brown or white bread... Or crisps or chips.... When the sandwiches arrived, pleasantly surprised, quite nice, good standard pub sarnie. I'd not... More

We visited (group of 8 of us) in March 2015 for a few drinks. Was a lovely day and even sat outside in the sunshine to drink our drinks. Friendly and welcoming bar staff.

Served good local real ale, dated interior, the way pubs used to be and such a change not to have wall to wall television! Very friendly owner/landlord as well.

Stopped by with a group of friends for a late night drink after going out to dinner. Looks as a pretty worn out pub with very broad selection of drinks. Pleasant outside sitting area with good atmosphere and low noise level. Drinks are quite expensive for a pub.
