We read the reviews and chose to purchase 2 x large fish and chips which we shared between 4 of us and we weren't disappointed! Great service, lovely crunchy batter and fresh chips all non greasy and the fish was really tasty!!! We sat on the beach a short walk away to enjoy definitely going back

We've been coming here for years, just for the fresh air and the food at this venue. Both the takeaway and the restaurant are good value for money, and offer very good food. There can sometimes be a queue which just shows how popular it is. The restaurant staff are friendly and polite and the menu is very good, with a... More

The food is always well cooked and well presented. The restaurant is ultra clean and tidy as is the pavement eating area outside. The staff are always pleasant and polite and nothing is too much trouble for them. No wonder they virtually annually win the accolade for the best chippy in Hampshire.

we quite often go to the restaurant when we are on Hayling. its clean and a very friendly service. The food is of good quality and the fish and chips are really good, which is what the place ( bad pun ) is famous for around the region.

Tried the Coast Guard chippy last August and while waiting to be served noticed a newspaper article framed on the wall about how this chippy had won an award and had been vote one of the best in Hampshire, so expectations were high. Once I got tucked into my food I soon knew why. Chips were good, but the fish... More

It looks good on the outside, is sweet and quite cosy inside, the staff and service was friendly, helpful and efficient but sadly the fish and chips were tastless. Cod, chips and mushy peas were really, really disappointing as was the treacle pudding. How sad.

It was windy and cold outside, but snug and cosy in the little restaurant. Traditional menu, and all well presented. We had Cod which came in a frothy crispy batter with perfect chips, salad and mushy peas. friendly service, and not too expensive. All you could want from a Fish and Chip Café.

Very rarely come to Hayling as although live about half an hour away we have family in Cornwall. Therefore used to fish and chips in places like Rick Steins in Padstow so it was a real please to find fish and chips locally that were as good as the high profile West Country counterparts but at a fraction of the... Lovely seaside cafe and so much more. Lovely restaurant (and take away) with a great menu plus some specials. The fish & chips with mushy peas was superb. Lovely crispy batter and well cooked chips. Vinegar on the table and Heinz tomato sauce in the squeezee carton, not the little sachets you can never get in to! Alcohol on sale... More
