We are a quaint traditionally English Country Pub and Restaurant. Set in the heart of a small community we offer a selection of cask conditioned real ales, ciders, premium lager and quality wines. We serve fresh, homemade food and specialise in fresh fish, game and serving our very own produce from our very own smallholding! As we are small we always recommend booking prior to your arrival - for weekends it's best to book up to a week in advance...

Love this pub!

I love this pub - we often have our "yoga brunches" here after class and Katie and the team look after us wonderfully. We also visit with friends for lunch from time to and have loved the quiz nights :)

Last minute booking to show some Austrian friends a real English pub. Superb quality from the oysters to the steaks. Specials are just delightful. Attentive table waiting, great beers, we tried them all👍👍. Thank you for a great evening..

Visited here with my husband and our friends and their little boy , had a great evening and the food was delicious . Service was great too, just a little hard to find as its tucked away. Lovely traditional food . Will be returning soon!

This pub is quirky and full of character, the food is good and you get a good portion(which I love ) perfect after a Sunday walk with friends or partner.

This visit was for my birthday lunch and the second time in a couple of weeks that we had eaten in the restaurant. The food is excellent , fresh and tasty , and the best part is that my small Jack Rusell is allowed in and gets to eat a sausage ! This alone makes eating out an extremely pleasant... More

I didn't really want to write a review, because I wanted to keep this a secret. I don't want it to get too busy. The food is cooked freshly by a chef. There are lots of Gluten Free choices . I went with my husband and mother last Monday. I had the vegetarian curry, my mother had lasagne , which... More

My wife and Indecided to go for lunch at this restaurant , which is just off Junction 7 of the M11 Motorway. At the roundabout , take the exit towards St. Clare's Hospice and some 100 yards down , is this little gastropub on the left. It has a small car park, but then the restaurant is small yet can... Arranged to meet a few ex work colleagues for lunch. We used to meet up at this pub 25 years ago after work. Was pleased to find that the pub was still open, and impressed at how little it had changed from 25 years ago. Fair selection of beers (unfortunately had to stick to a 1 pint limit) and our... More
