Very simple take away cafe but you could have a dinner inside as well.the menu is based on fried food, from fish to the meat.I ate the fish (haddock) and chips and i shared the haggis that usually is not fried, so i was very interested in trying it. All was good, delightful and the quantity were abundant as well.... More

Visiting Lerwick on holiday this place was recommended and did not let us down. Excellent fish and chips eaten in their tiny restaurant.

This is a fantastic chip shop, the fish is incredibly fresh, great service too. Shetland is expensive to eat out, but this place not only provides fantastic food and great service but great value too. Not to be missed.

The place looks really out-dated but I think that is part of the charm. The restaurant is really small and you are really sitting close to each other. The food was good: good fish, good chips, but only two or three leafs of greens. Disappointing was the air in this restaurant. The deep-frying happens on both sides of the siting... More

You won't be disappointed if you stop by for Fish and Chips. I can recommend the breaded haddock. Good portions, great chips and excellent value.

I have eaten in numerous fish and chips places around the world and this place as we say in the US is "the bomb!" Don't expect anything fancy from the Fort as there are no airs in this place----only fresh, fresh fish and crispy, crispy chips to die for! I visit Shetland once a year and it's the first port... We had takeaway fish 'n' chips and they were delicious. Lovely fresh fish (I heard that they buy their fish from the local fish market so it's fresh every day) light crispy batter and nicely cooked chips. Mushy peas and curry sauce were very tasty and a nice thick consistency. Generous portions so make sure you're hungry first! Friendly staff... More

Tasty, fresh cooked locally caught fish. Best chippy in Lerwick. Recommended for a meal on the move.
