Exellent service. Exellent food. Nice view over the bay. Waiting time for the food was perfectly timed.

The menu we ate was superb! My compliment to the chef, the waiters very customers oriented. In my trip in Scotland I can say that was one of the best high quality restaurant of the country! Compliment again to the Bay Brasserie!

I went with a group from work (I really messed them about with numbers, but they were great about it) the service was excellent, our waiter suggested we might like to wait in the bar for one of our party... Then took our order there, and took us through to the restaurant when our starters were ready. The food was... More

Came on the very high recommendation of the B&B where I was staying - "best in Lerwick" said they. I arrived early (6.30pm) as I had no reservation and was left standing at the door despite quite a few tables being occupied. Eventually a barman led me to a table and took a drinks order. Three times I was asked... More

My mother tried this restaurant one evening and had a steak that she described as tough and tasteless. It was served with onion rings that were thick cut onions in batter that were drowned in fat. Not believing it could be so bad I headed back there the next day with my mother to try a lunch. We were served... More

Very slow service when not busy, orders incorrect. Jug of water had dead fly in it. Filet minions with mushrooms had a single slice of mushroom in it. Surf and turf was missing the sauce and the steak was dry, overcooked and tasteless, the monkfish and scallops were likewise tasteless. The adult size of the kids ice cream was the... More

The place has been modernised since the last time that I was there and it is much better looking, but the ambience was a bit industrial with all the noise from the other tables. Yet again I got sat at the next table to the braying woman. We placed our order after a glitch, the veggie meal asn't available, but... More

The redecorating is the only thing that is going for this place, staff were too over attentive. Both waitresses would ask ud the same questions a minute after each other (obviously must not speak to each other) I ordered the steak and to say it was undercooked would be an understatement. The steak looked like it has just been taken... More

A family meal for my wifes birthday. Lovely, contemporary feel to the restauranr. What a transformation! I had the only starter - the mini surf and turf. Very nice! A mixture of ballotine of chicken, steaks and venison for main course which were all very tasty. The highlight was my 14 year old son getting torn into the halibut. He... More

My family eat here more often than anywhere else in Shetland. The kids menu is fantastic as is the range available on the adults menu. The quantity and quality are spot on, the prices are right and the service is fantastic, they were really happy friendly and positive and spoke nicely to the kids. I wouldnt go elsewhere.
