The food here was excellent and value for money. The only issue is there are not enough seats on the ground floor and the toilets are upstairs.

Great atmosphere with a lovely shop attached. Always busy. Great home-made soup with great chunks of bread and doorstep sandwiches.

Consistently efficient service. Good range of tempting sweet and savoury food, which is reasonably priced. Attractive, modern surroundings with artistic additions to the decor. Good value, generous Cullen skink.

Food is simple but not particularly cheap. Staff were quite rude and unfriendly. charged us £1.50 for a 100mls beaker of milk for our 2 year old daughter after we had spent 18 quid on coffee and sandwiches. (I know its a cafe but I could buy 6 pints for that price)

Very good and nourishing soup and sandwiches, and caters for the gluten and wheat-free like most food outlets in the Northern Isles. Wish the same could be said of England who remain years behind. Happy staff.

Not the worst cafe I've been in but lacks a little warmth and the seating doesn't encourage you to stay long.

Try not to get there at lunch time. Even in October it's almost as if no one makes their own lunch. Food is basic relatively cheap, and the seating is low. Very interesting shoppie.

Stop here for a modern coffee (latte, espresso etc) or a decent cuppa. They seemed to have good food too but I was there to ease drop on local conversations

Centrally located just off the Esplanade, so easy to slip into for coffee, cake or soup and bread. Prices are good and food, like a big bowl of Cullen skink with oatcake for £3.60 or a mug of soup for £2.50 is fabulous.
