We visited the café for lunch and enjoyed super food . The café is situated at the back of the gift shop and is well worth stopping for lunch or an evening meal .

Delicious food, prompt service, reasonable prices and was eager to eat here again when we came back to Kirkwall. A little gem!

Food was beautiful, fresh & tasty. There's a seated area just outside the cafe inside the shop so we was allowed to take the dog which was fantastic. But it cost just shy of £50 for two adults 1 child & the baby to have basically a cafe snack. My son had a cheese & ham sandwich, hubby had burger... More

It was late for lunch so not too busy. Had soup and a cheese scone with an apple juice. Soup was very thin and watery and not very tasty. Scone was good. Apple juice felt like a child size portion. There are plenty other options in Kirkwall and I would try somewhere else next time.

At the back of Judith Glue's shop opposite the Cathedral is this lovely cafe restaurant. It can be very busy but the friendly staff work hard to get you seated. The menu is extensive and very local and is supplemented by a chalkboard of specials. The food is so good that we went back for lunch twice in week together... More

We both thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here. Menu has good variety on offer. Makes very good use of high quality local produce. Definitely one of the best meals of my stay on Orkney.

We were so charmed by this cafe and what it offered that we used it twice in one day - for afternoon tea and again for supper. The crab and bere bannock were excellent, good portion size, served with an interesting fresh salad range. I loved the decoupaged chairs and envied their retro china adorning the dining area - think... More

Locally sourced food and drink, where possible, and cooked fresh. The cakes are delicious and the sandwiches generous. Friendly staff run a tight ship.

Had lunch in here a couple of times, often quite busy and can be hard to get a seat. But the food is very good if a bit on the pricey side.
