Four of us called in on Saturday evening for something to eat having been recommended by staff at a nearby hotel. My son went to the bar to order drinks only to be told to take a seat and someone would come over and take our order. We sat for 15 minutes and not a member of staff appeared to... More

We go quite often to the Kings Arms, the food is great and the staff are very helpful. Great value for money.

As what happened with previous reviewer we also had to leave the M64 because of the bad weather recently and I must admit we had a great lunch in a wee cosy front room of the hotel ,the service was spot on even though they were busy.

We had the misfortune to be caught in some dreadful weather on our way back South near the end of lunch time kitchen opening hours so we made the mistake of leaving the motorway for a bite to eat at the Kings Arms Hotel. We had possibly the worst "haddock" and chips I have ever had to endure (I was... More

Visited the kings arms for the first time a couple of weeks ago with 6 friends, we had varied dishes and a full three courses ..... and there were NO complaints. Except that we were too full!! I really can not understand the negative comments I am reading, we found it so good and such exceptional value we are returning... More

My sister, mother and I stopped in for a meal here when we were staying in a hotel nearby. 2 of us got the steak pie which seemed to have more fat than steak, as a result my mum actually left 75% of her meal, I wasn't as put off and finished mine as I was pretty hungry. My sister... More

I have to say straight off that I think my wife and I made the wrong choices on the menu! I don't usually go for curry in pubs etc as they are not the same as in an Indian restaurant and this was the case here - too much spice and not that special. Similarly my wife chose the cajun... More

just been to the kings arms for another great meal, we both had the steak pie, what a plateful..reasonable prices under £9, the steak slow cooked as tender, melt in the mouth, other couple we spoken to at next table were very happy with their meals aswell, nice place to sit, staff always friendly, will deffo return

We enjoyed an initial drink in the bar downstairs and later discovered we could eat on the first floor. Our food was ordered in the bar and shortly after moving upstairs to the restaurant our first course was served. There was nothing particularly outstanding but would recommend the service and food.

Starting our family's holiday up to Scotland we stopped here on the way up as the reviews on here seemed very good! It was Sunday so 4 out of 5 of us had the Beef Sunday lunch, when it came, the plate looked bland and boring. Huge pieces of plain cauliflower, NO roast potatoes, just bland balls of mash potatoe...
