I know this has closed now but as I was reviewing a local pub I though I would contribute. We've been recommended this restaurant several times, as we stay in the area often. I have eaten here on various occasions with a friend and it is without a shadow of a doubt the best food I have eaten anywhere in Leicestershire. The service hits just the right note, welcoming, but not OTT, and hits that balance of being attentive without being "in your face" I can only afford to eat here on special... More

Amazing! Service was brilliant! They were all polite friendly and eager to please. Even catered for some children in our party. We had the farmers menu which was £20 for 5 courses and every course was well presented and delicious! I can't wait to take more of my family and friends there!

To be honest, this is a lovely looking little restaurant. The car park isn't great, so be careful if you have a particularly large car. The menu gives a feel of being more of a set menu, as there aren't individual meal prices on the menu. It's either around £32 for 2 courses or around £37 for 3 courses. (very... More

The new market menu for only £20 is great value at the Woodhouse. I ate alone last week and enjoyed this 5 course fine dining menu comprising of a sizeable amuse bouchée of wild mushroom velouté with grated truffle oil and home made breads, the treacle & stout was particularly good. The starter I chose was baked cod with pea... More

Year on year I visit this restaurant on special occasions, it just continues to always provide excellent standards of service and food quality non can match. Long may it remain my favourite. It just must be experienced if only once.

First time at this restaurant and what a great evening. So much choice on the menu and so imaginative. Could have picked several dishes from each course which is always a good sign ! Service was excellent. Will be back !

We went to The Woodhouse again to celebrate as a family. We had an amazing meal, which was great value - £20 for 5 courses!
