Great scampi!

Amazing scampi and chips with tartar sauce on the side - just what everyone's loves! Lovely pub and great meal with friends that I haven't seen in a while. I liked the fact that the pub was very family and dog friendly. My friend had the tortellini and that was delicious too. Will be back soon!!

What a lovely pit stop to re fuel, re-energise and alcoholize ;-) before strolling along the salt marshes. It's doggy central and the beer is served with relative cheer. It's a winner for me. Reckon it will be hopping come summer. Worth a visit for a snackeroo - lilley's cider is really rather too good....

My son is back from Mexico for a few days and yesterday we decided to pop down to the Chequers for lunch. I have not been there for an age and I have Tom to thank for reminding me what a glorious pub this is. A warm welcome. A blazing fire. Decent beer and a very good pub menu. But... More

Having heard great things about this New Forest coastl pub, I was keen to try it out,but was sadly disapointed! The service was ok, nothing to right home about and the food was what I would expect from a cheap chain pub. The chips were frozen to frier standard chips, the lazanana and garlic bread a bit bland and soggie.... More

I went camping with my brother this month (Feb 2015). Yes I know....WHY!?!? I always take my little sidekick wherever I go. When camping etc, this restricts where you can go as places that serve food, don't seem to welcome dogs. The site I stayed at however told us that the Chequers Inn was dog friendly. We went to the... As we were searching for a dog friendly restaurant or pub ,we came across this little hidden gold mine . we were staying in lymington for 3 nights with our dog . This pub is amazing . As we walked in ,we were welcomed with a friendly dog and very friendly staff. There's a lovely big log fire burning so... More

We went to the pub on a beautiful Saturday morning when our bird spotting path happened to pass it at 12.30. Was there ever a better omen. We did not eat, but the beer was excellent and we sat at the bar so were in a position to see and hear all that went on. The service was very good... More

Having moved to Australia 16 years ago this is the sort of English pub that I miss most. Great range of beers & ciders and good honest food albeit a tad pricey. A yachtie venue most of the year round and no one bats an eyelid if you bring your dog in to enjoy the fire. Love it and want... More

Stumbled upon this very busy pub on a day out in the New Forest. Had to park up the road as the car park was full. The lunch menu was varied and ordered after waiting a few minutes for a spare table. Food was ok but not very appetising when it arrived. Plenty of dogs in the restaurant area.
