Loved the atmosphere and informality of the hotel, food looked very good although we had a sandwich lunch ( free of charge for charity bike ride participants which was fantastic). Will definitely go back

We went for a light lunch and whilst our food was acceptable my daughter' light lunch Thai fish cake left a lot to be desired ! For over £8 she got 4 lettuce leaves and a golf ball sized fish cake. This was not even enough to suffice calling it a starter. Come on Stanwell you can do better than... More

On a wet Bank Holiday Monday we decided Stanwell's Bistro would make a perfect venue for a leasurely lunch. It was the first day of the new lunch menu. There was an interesting choice for each course and between us we sampled a good cross section. We eat in all of Stanwell's Restaurants regularly and can only count a hard... More

We had been given a Red Letter a Day Champagne Afternoon Tea for this hotel, as a treat, and chose a summery day to enjoy this experience at the designated venue, in the conservatory. On the plus side, the staff we encountered were all very pleasant, we had freshly laundered napkins and the scones were fresh and light. On the... More

My daughter and I went to this restaurant on a Friday evening. We thought it was going to be busy, but it wasn't. However, the atmosphere was very relaxed whilst being very smart. The choice was very good and the quality of the food was excellent. I appreciated the attention of the staff. I happily recommend this restaurant.

Lymington High Street is not blessed with good places to eat, if you do not fancy fish and chips, pasties, sandwiches and ice creams. Nor did I see anywhere down by the quay and marinas. But the boutique hotel of Stanwell House offers a set lunch. Green melon soup on a hot day was most welcome, a very subtle flavour.... More

Charming conservatory, outside courtyard & hidden garden. Prompt service from Eurpoean waiting staff. Food took a time to come. Expensive but makes you feel a bit special. Have only tried the light menu, have not tried the formal dining.Discerning clientale.

I used to live in Lymington and I used to regularly visit this excellent venue for meeting friends and family for either lunch or coffee and i was always impressed with quality of food and friendliness of the staff. Sit down elegant setting. Good food choices. Prices not bad. Waitress service and not hurried. Can get very busy so may need to reserve
