We had been given a Red Letter a Day Champagne Afternoon Tea for this hotel, as a treat, and chose a summery day to enjoy this experience at the designated venue, in the conservatory. On the plus side, the staff we encountered were all very pleasant, we had freshly laundered napkins and the scones were fresh and light. On the... More

My daughter and I went to this restaurant on a Friday evening. We thought it was going to be busy, but it wasn't. However, the atmosphere was very relaxed whilst being very smart. The choice was very good and the quality of the food was excellent. I appreciated the attention of the staff. I happily recommend this restaurant.

Lymington High Street is not blessed with good places to eat, if you do not fancy fish and chips, pasties, sandwiches and ice creams. Nor did I see anywhere down by the quay and marinas. But the boutique hotel of Stanwell House offers a set lunch. Green melon soup on a hot day was most welcome, a very subtle flavour.... More

Charming conservatory, outside courtyard & hidden garden. Prompt service from Eurpoean waiting staff. Food took a time to come. Expensive but makes you feel a bit special. Have only tried the light menu, have not tried the formal dining.Discerning clientale.

I used to live in Lymington and I used to regularly visit this excellent venue for meeting friends and family for either lunch or coffee and i was always impressed with quality of food and friendliness of the staff. Sadly this visit was no where near there usual top notch standard, my friend and I shared lunch together and the... More

We went to Stanwell House for a Fathers Day Lunch. The £24 set menu looked superb and was quite possibly the best food I have had in the area for many years. Surpassing all the supposedly great hotels and restaurants nearby. If I had one piece of advice for the management is that whoever is the head chef Do not... More

The quality of the food here is second to none I have yet to eat in the main restaurant for dinner but have eaten lunch here a few times. The fixed 3 course lunch menu is superb, the choice and quality of the cooking is fantastic as is the price, it really is that good. I had the ox cheeks... More

Being coming for yonks for the 2 or 3 course lunchtime special. For excellent food at the lowest conceivable price it's also friendly to parties large or small, smart or casual. Garden dining even better if you get the weather for it.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner in the Bistro on Saturday night. Service was unobtrusive but efficient and the waiter was happy to explain the menu choices and the interchangeable options. From the amuse bouche to the coffee every course was superb. Portions were plentiful and the presentation excellent. Main courses of grilled plaice and pork three ways were delicious, but... More
